So today I want to try a new type of anime genre (If there is one like this). Sort of scary like gantz/Monster and Exciting like tenje tenjou/Kenichi the mightiest disciple. Twisty like Death note.

So what im looking for is more of a action packed and scarier Death note.
I don't mind it being old or new.Preferably a short series 13-26 episodes. Im not a huge fan of mecha so if there is one(Which is good) just mention it and il check it out.If the anime has martial arts its perfect.Guns will do as well. If there is a really good Scary/Twisty anime but with no action tell me and il see if I will like it

If you haven't seen it already, there are: Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou and its sequel (scary with action), Ghost Hunt (scary only), Ghost at School (scary only).

Code Geass is probably the closest thing to an action-packed Death Note I can think of. It has mecha in it, but like Death Note there's plenty of twists and turns and increasingly complex strategies.

I recommend Kara no Kyoukai. It's a series of seven films, each about murders that are taking place through supernatural means. The protagonist is Ryougi Shiki, a girl that has been raised in a family of demon hunters and has the ability to see the death of everything through her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. She also has an almost insatable urge to kill. Just look it up on youtube and see if you like it.
