I wonder if some people have actually seen any Kamen Rider series (even the older versions) before Gen's transition to this genre. For those who are into it and know Urobuchi, this should not come as a surprise but rather as a welcome change in providing some variety to the usual diet.

I grew up watching Kamen Rider Black & Black RX. RX is my favorite Kamen Rider so far coz he has a lightsaber and has two very cool alternate forms (each one is very different from his default form). Also, if I'm not mistaken, RX is the only Kamen Rider that has an official car (it's called Lightdron/Raidron) and can manifest himself as liquid (in Biorider form).

And yes, as a longtime fan of Kamen Rider, Urobuchi's involvement is a welcome change rather than a surprise to me

Black was an absolute classic. The Black-Shadowmoon dynamic was what really made Black work so well. RX...mixed feelings about it.

Weird... Don't know what would they do next year? Ninja with Action Figure?

Oh, and I only just watched 1 "Old-gen": Super-1. It is pretty good, actually. Has a weird vibe that seperate it from Hensei.

But I would gladly choose Hensei (excluding "Neo-" one) everyday.

Oh, I have a question: What is the darkest Hensei series? I think it is Faiz (specially the movie), follows by Decade.

If you count Heisei movies too, then it’s hands down Kamen Rider: The First and its sequel, Kamen Rider: The Next that have the darkest story.

An unintended effect of having a FRUIT NINJA for tokusatsu show (or maybe that was intended)...

...I've never seen both my gf and imouto go nuts about Kamen Rider, AT THE SAME TIME. I also sense a thousand iPad players suddenly getting deja'vu.

(will totally dress her as a female rider, if they exist in this series. XD)

(scratch that, who else envision HINAMORI AMU as Rider Gaim?! XD)

Still, I anticipate that Gaim himself will go through hell, even die/become a concept, in the final arc that saves the world. That's how all of Urobutcher's heros end up.

Though, just how on EARTH are they going to make a movie taisen after that is anyone's guess. My guess is that the movie is just the series recapped with a Good end, like Madoka 3. XD

Oh, and I don't think the theme is "Ninja". More like "Samurai" (consider Gaim's orange armor).

And why the heck a crossover with Oda Nobuna no Yabou appears on my mind?

I don’t like taisen/mash-up movies, especially the ones focusing on Decade with that horribly wooden actor whose-name-I-don’t/won't-bother-to-remember. That guy almost always kill the joy of any scene he's in. Even my late grandma can easily play Kamen Rider better than him

Taisen movies are fun only if they are set in the same world and act as a bridge between series and not just "lol let's throw everyone in just because we can" imho.

It's not just Urobuchi's Lancer, as even Nasu's Lancer has that factor. E Rank Luck that's so bad that in the Carnival Phantasm spin-off, his entire schtick is his bad luck.
