How do you save your sig?
In PS, Always, always, always used the save for web option for the useable version... Use Save As option to save the .psd file only. In save for web option, you have the option to save in 4 types; gif, jpg, png-8 and png-24. In general, the quality from worst to excellent are gif -> png-8 -> jpg -> png-24. Only use .gif for animated sig. png-8 is for popout sig, jpg is catch all option, and png-24 for the best quality with no filesize restriction since its the hugest filesize of all 4 types. For jpg, you have the option of specifying the % of quality. dropping the quality from 100% -> 99% often offers significant filesize reduction while maintaining the quality. .jpg; 96% quality ^^ edit Damn you Sephi.. you cheated!

I'm trying to make an avatar from this .gif
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/1...misway2er6.gif And I want to have the only the dog on the far right. How can I get just her cut so that the middle one doesn't appear in the avatar like what happened here:

Pretty simple. Extract "dog to the far right" out of all the frames, which result you with "dog to the far right" in a empty background swaying. Then re-add the background too all the frames; the dog(middle) should be removed from the background and it(the background) is a tessellation so this shouldn't be very hard. And since the background doesn't move, it should the same for every frame.
Edit: Bored... Background:

Bottom one: Text: Blend setting. Magic circle: Stock rip off somewhere. Heads: Stock rip off somewhere. Render: Stock rip off somewhere. Put them together, add a few frames of effect and yea.

Thank you very much. Although extracting 19 frames was annoying, I did it. And thank you very much for that background image. +Cookie'd+

One of the reason is filesize limit.. There's also a question of quality. Since animation requires .gif filetype, the quality is low, so for te non animated part, saving them as .jpg would allow a little bit quality saved. Also, since .jpg are very flexible since you can change the quality and choose between quality and filesize.
The only way to do this is by the slice tool. Just select the tool and start defining your region.. Then when you save for web, you can select each region individually and save each part when you select the save button.

Here are the steps that I would of done it in:
-crop the background out using any technique of your wish. (Look for tutorial in the first post if you need help with that) -select the two people in the photo and copy it -file>new and paste it -go to image>image size and make it any size you want -copy the enlarged version and paste it back on the original one. make sure it's under the original layer -drag it around with the move tool until you found a position that you like -then apply different effects to the bottom(enlarged) layer so that it fades |
