I can't for the life of me remember any details, but the basic idea goes like this: we have a typical kind of romantic looking samurai: clothes, sword, long hair -- and then he gets to discover the modern Japan. Then there is some action and I think there was some magic stuff. Sorry I can't give you more information but maybe you'll be able to help me anyway.

I would also like some recs of similar stuff, that's why I posted it here. I think that one was an older series, so maybe no one will remember... I think it might be a rather popular plot line.

So you want us to identify the name of the anime/manga you describe, right? If so, I think this belongs in the anime/manga identification thread in the general anime forum.

I haven't heard of a series like the one you describe, so I'm sorry for not being able to help.

Shinobi Life?

He's a ninja rather than a samurai, but he definitely comes from the past into modern Japan. If this isn't the one you're looking for, then it's really similar.

Oh thanks, it looks similar, though I'm sure that one was an anime rather than a manga. Or at least, it was an anime as well as a manga.
Anyway I'm glad you mentioned it, it looks pretty interesting.
