The show is based on a manga by Nakahara Aya. The manga is serialized in Margaret and Shojo Beat. I believe there is also a live-action movie on this title that has come out last year in August. As of right now, there aren't much other info regarding the anime adaptation. The premesis of the story does read interesting. The synopsis in the following is taken from the manga counterpart as it is posted in ANN:

Risa and Otani are always being laughed at as the comedy duo. Risa, a girl, is taller than the average girl, and Otani, a boy, is shorter than the average boy. The two are always bickering and even their teacher sees them as a comedy act. But as their friendship develops, so does Risa's feelings toward Otani.

So it is a shoujo romantic comedy without the generic ignorant loser who has suddenly a girl or a bunch of girls all over him for some contrived reasons, I gather? Then I'm certainly in for a try.

i liked this shoujo series when i read the manga, and i still do. it's funny when they always quarrel lol. gives of a feel the same way Kare Kano did to me before.

no news on the seiyuu yet, huh.

Talking about ignorance... that's what would generic romantic SHOUNEN be like, not shoujo.

LC manga is quite good, well at least first 5 volumes I managed to read, Risa&Otani are super hilarious as a (non-)couple.

That was more enjoyable than I expected. I couldn't really get into the manga, but these people are pretty interesting. Since it's a popular manga, I'll take for granted they can weave enough more story to make it interesting, although I feel as if I see the whole thing already. The ugly face distortions turned me off at first, but they ended up working, with the voices. I felt lost for a while with the Kansai-ben, but eventually found I could understand enough. Overall, the show gave a good feeling.

is the manga finished? anyone have a prediction as to how many episodes this series could be?

I can't get over how beautiful this show looks --- i just rewatched for that thought alone. Gotta agree that the OP could have been better, though the ED is pure love --- need more of that.

No, it ended at chapter 62. There is a prequel to the events of Lovely Complex though that's three chapters long.

Don't jump to conclusions, you might stumble and fall in a hole of prejudices. Put the stress where the world in italics is and you will understand the sentence how I meant it ... I hope.

Omniscient Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2004	Episode 01 Screencaps and Summary Spoiler: The first episode followed the manga's first chapter pretty well, and then skipped ahead to cover a bit more material from the end of chapters 2 and 3. I hadn't been expecting much from this, but it turned out to be quite funny and rather well produced.
