Hey, nothing wrong with Hayate/Signum. :3 They are not committed to anyone at the moment, and Hayate does feed Signum with life force. An honest knight would definitely let her have some of it back.

Didn't Vita and Shamal talk about the possibility of them dissipating upon Hayate's death in StrikerS (episode 18 or 19, I think)? My memory of that dialogue is vague.

The dialog was more along the lines of "we won't be reborn anymore if we die, this is our last life, so be careful with it and let's spend it together with Hayate."

Edit: most likely the cake is for the viewer but it just bugs me if it does turns out to be for Hayate.
