Juliet, as red whirlwind, fought against Duke Montague to free the people of neo verona. These news were sent to Romeo, being supported by everyone in the village, Romeo rushed to safe Juliet.
After meeting with Juliet, Romeo beg her to let him reason with his father once again.
Juliet,then visit her parent's grave , but instead ,she meets with Ophelia.....

Ep.21 ""Law"　~The Goddess' Embrace~"

After the collossal earthquake, which cause fear to everyone in the city, Montague raises hatred by order the city which support Capulet to be burnt without mercy. This cause the citizen, nobles and soldiers to turn against Montague. Juliet, who is just one step ahead of the success in the rebel, heard the truth that shakes her heart from Ophelia.

Finally, Juliet's comrades safe NeoVerona. WHile the voices of victory being heard, Juliet appears in the underground of the castle where the grief and sadness await her.

Spoiler for My speculation:

I wonder if Ophelia tells Juliet she has to kill Romeo or herself in order to reverse/repent for the damage Montague made to Esculus and prevent Neo Verona from falling out of the sky. That, or else from the screen shots Omni made, I think maybe Ophelia's time as guardian of Esculus is up (I think her hand is turning to wood or something) and Juliet has to take over her position. That of course means Juliet can't be with Romeo.

So it seems that Juliet now has Escalus' seed inside of her and she's been told by Ophelia to sacrifice her body for the sake of the harmony of the earth (in this case, the floating continent of Neo Verona). And based on what the old man suggested to Romeo in the first half of episode 20 about shouldering Juliet's fate, I can see an ending where he sacrifices himself too and they both end up becoming trees.

Well if that is true it looks like almost everyone has been right about a bitter sweet ending. Personally I would not like to see this ending not that it doesnt make sense because it does. Just personally i would prefer not to

I think your right and im kind of disappointed about it. But its my own fault for getting my hopes up that they would try to avoid a tragic ending as a change of pace

Is that really Tybalt? Looks like Mercutio to me. The clothes look like they have some gold trim. Tybalt never wore anything with gold trim.

RxJ is getting worse and worse. I don't know what 's theme of this anime, but love, fate, and revolution are all tepid. the scenario-writer has no talent to create new adaptarion and rerendering of Shakespheare.

ロミオ村で仲良く暮らせば？って感じ。
どっちかが既婚とか、ジュリエットが革命のためにロミオ拒絶して別の男と結婚するとか、とにかくなんか二人 の恋愛に障害がないと、見ててもつまんない。

木になる運命も唐突すぎてなんだかなぁって感じだし。
はじめ面白そうだっただけに、はなはだ残念だ。

I've only watched the first 3 episodes but the character Willy is such a mockery to William Shakespeare. I mean, I'm not a Shakespeare fan but come on, they are using the plot of his story, they could at least made Willy respectable and not some kind of a joke.

Ok so I just saw the remake of the balcony scene. Of course, we all knew the balcony scene will happen since it's like a trademark of that play. So I'm not spoiling anything.

So I just saw the episode and all I can say is......
Awwwww that was so romantic. I wish I can have a moment like that and say those lines in real life. I want to play that scene again. It was so cute.

Oh Romeo, Oh Romeo, Why are you Romeo!!!! Then Romeo was like.... blah blah blah......

Before, I didn't want to watch it since I hated the possibility of the ending where they will both die. I didn't like the fact that the ending is already known before I even start watching. But after I started watching, I so hope they both die. I'm not sadistic or anything, I think. It's just that Romeo & Juliet play is a tragic love story. After watching some episodes, I want it to be that way too even for an anime.

I guess I'm like that guy in Naruto. Art is only beautiful because it's a fleeting moment. It reaches its peak and withers away. So their love is only beautiful because it's pure and remains pure until the end where they both die.
