I wonder if Hayate will ever recover the ring Athena gave him. Actually, I'm quite sure he'll recover it, what I'm wondering the most is how, when, and under what circumstances will he get it back. Additionally, what kind of role will that ring (or the fact he recovered it) play in Hayate's and Athena's relationship, or any other.

There is that crazy talking tiger, which has been tamed by a 13 year old girl. I met a real Demon Hunter. I´m sorry but i can´t leave Ojou-sama alone. these are more likely |

Given that the End of the World arc being the only arc not driven by humor, combined with his guilt and regret, I don't think the author is going to fuck it all up by making Hayate say joke things.

Not the best of arguments you have there running for ya. And if he could make her laugh/smile, I say it's a success. After all, I don't think the writer wants this to continue to be a tragic.

Whilst saying something like that would be completely stupid, it wouldn't be cheesy. However, I agree with Atlarax that saying something stupid just for the sake of comedy would completely ruin the mood.
The idea is not this to become a tragedy, but to follow things with the proper mood (also, I do not think Hayate wants to tell her something that will make her sad). Personally, I wouldn't find it fun at all if the two things Hayate wants to tell Athena are stupid.

I am betting that at least one of the two things has
"Im sorry" somewhere in them. The statement will probably be longer than just that but there will be something he is apologizing for. Arguing. Leaving. Becoming someone elses butler. ect. ect. Hayate is really good at apologizing anyways so I am sure he will be doing it once again. |

Saying random things is what Hayate does in tense situations. Quote:
