I think I become a little gayer for Akatsuki with every episode. Kinda disappointed that the bullied kid he defended turned out to be not so innocent though, that had to be one of Akatsuki's best moments.

Nothing like Touma's power to be honest, Touma's power Imagine Breaker basically cancels out any super natural attacks it touches, Akatsuki's ability seems to be some sort of energy/Chi manipulation.

Well his stated goal seems to be seeing if Akatsuki is strong enough to join Cocoon. When Cocoon meets one of the figures has his silhouette and voice and says that.

He may have a hidden agenda though in regards to Akatsuki's power. In the first episode he remarks that he wants it. Whether that was figuratively in the form of a subordinate or literally I don't know.

He says he knows Akatsuki from somewhere, only to say he has a rep in school. But I think he is the same guy in the OP in the rain with Akatsuki in another world.

Though Akatsuki is a hero and will help the helpless he doesn't seem to make nakama or comrades in his journey.

What happened with Princess Listy probably happened frequently. Akatsuki's friends going what the hell hero with him leaving without a goodbye or having them join the adventure.

It occurs to me Akatsuki may have been level grinding until he is ready to come back to his world.

Spoiler for Yuusha 05 - Flying Underpants:

Underwear would be something Akatsuki is skilled with, and while he still showed up in front of Miu without caring to warn or explain (it's a chance to reuse the animation, too), he did seem genuinely helpful this episode... even if he was the one who necessitated it in the first place. (Breast expansion's showing up a fair bit lately... I'm not doing a very good job with this criticizing thing). I enjoyed this episode, a nice calm before the storm and chance for Akatsuki to show that he does have some redeemable qualities. Pure chance that he ran into Haruka/Cure March, however. I get the feeling, from the opening and such, that she'll defect from the student council sooner or later.

Wow, episode 5 is the most hentai-ish one yet.
I'm sure a few actual h-scenes would have fitted seamlessly if it was a full blown hentai series instead of just an eechi one. Especially at the end there.

Kind of a shame, I feel that the story and setting is interesting enough to hold its own without needing to be an eechi show.

Oooh me, oh my. The student council prez in that black corset was...very...colorful to say. Speaking of which, I figure she would punch or atleast try to fight back against Akatsuki but she was defenseless in the *ahem* iron grip of our hero.
