Glad this series is getting the recognition it deserves Can't wait to find out what Gumi and Kikuchi has in store for us this time. It really deserves its 3rd place on the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi 2019 Ranking.

Finally finished my thoughts about this volume. I'm being very vague as I don't want to spoiler anything.

Spoiler for Thoughts:

He's changed so much during these volumes and yet, he hasn't changed at all, which may sound like a contradiction, but this is what makes this whole volume to me. And how he resolves this problem makes it perhaps the best volume yet.

Tomozaki-kun still spews out his thoughts unconsciously, making for some hilarious moments with his friends. His friendship with Mizusawa is as interesting as it had been after v3. Hinami is also taking the spotlight, though, indirectly as it's pretty much speculation, but it seems there is something behind it after all?

Finally we get to the student festival and his class is doing a play written by Kikuchi Fuuka. I really liked how the progress of the script itself is mirrored by the volume as a whole and it makes for an interesting play on the difference being a character and the player, or perhaps the author? It may seem familiar since last time, it was Tomozaki going through this, but this time, we have Kikuchi going through the same motions, except it's the reverse order.

And finally, we have the conclusion to his relationship with Mimimi and Kikuchi, or perhaps it's the beginning? It was pretty hard seeing her conflicted with supporting her crush, and yet realise it's not going to happen with her. Yet, when he is about to give up, she gives him the last push which says a lot about how she has developed. Yes, the characters in this series feels like they all are growing up. Except Takei. Since it's Takei.

For people waiting for the official translation, there's a great series that really deserves some attention

So, read the volume today. It was a nice volume, though painful.
You know, that's when I'm reading stories with such endearing heroines like this one that I remember why I turned towards harem stories even though I prefer OTP. It's just so sad.

I'm glad for Kikuchi-san, though, but I loved Mimimi too.

Also, like you said the mirroring with the play is nice, and also very meaningful for the novel as a whole.
Like Kikuchi-san said, the ideal for the world (of the novel) would be to have Tomozaki with Hinami because she needs him, and only him.
On the other hand, Tomozaki still chooses Kikuchi-san based on emotion and not the world.

So here is the thing:
Will the novel ends with the ideal, or will Tomozaki go though with his feelings and manage to keep being with Kikuchi-san while resolving Hinami's problem.

Also, knowing more about Hinami's past was interesting.

Based on your impressions of the volume and what I managed to piece together using the illustrations, I'm assuming that Tomozaki and Kikuchi became a couple at the end of the volume? Additionally, Mimimi gave her full support and even gave him the final push he needed despite having a crush on him herself? So long as this isn't a short serialization (approx. 10 volumes) then yea, I don't think this is gonna be the conclusion to this triangle. If this series is planned to be a long-running serialization (12+ volumes), then anything can happen tbh. As for whether Tomozaki x Kikuchi last or not, idk what's in store for them, but that's the fun part. As you've said, it really might only be the beginning.

However, if I'm being completely honest, I'm low key hoping my girl Mimimi gets the win by the end of this series, but I'll also be fine with a Kikuchi win tbh. Basically, I won't be too mad about it if Tomozaki x Mimimi doesn't happen so long as Tomozaki x Kikuchi is handled well.

I want to check this LN out because I really like Fly's art. Who is on the cover of volume 7? normal edition. I already read the manga and check some illustrations, but cannot find any girl having similar design

^She's Narita Tsugumi (nicknamed Gumi) and she's a girl working at the same place as Tomozaki and Mizusawa.

Though she's on vol 7 cover, she actually only appears for a few lines in the volume.

Like most main characters in series like these, she's the least popular girl among fans. Fans hate main girls.

Nah, it's not because she's the main girl, actually lot of people like her. It's just that so far we only see her as the "one above", the "mentor" of Tomozaki, so to be honest she only has her looks and perfection for her.
On the other hand, Mimimi (and Fuuka) are more endearing with their flaws and how they try their best to accomplish things so you want to encourage them.
They also have overall better dialogues with Tomozaki.
Discussions with Hinami are always her making fun of Tomozaki and the rare times Tomozaki tries to get back at her... I'm not saying that's bad, in fact their dialogues are interesting, but the ones with Fuuka and Mimimi are far more endearing.
