Yukino herself is fine but her route and ending is way too predictable and boring

Youjitsu still has the possibility of Horikita ending but at least there's Kei route and maybe more in between

Personally, I think the ending is decent and reminds me a little more of the series early on, but it shouldn't have taken over 3 volumes to get to this point.

I do sympathize with Watari to a certain extent, since I believe the Yukinoshita family drama is a big landmine that's difficult to resolve. It's not really anyone's place, much less Hachiman's to tell another person's mother to be a better parent, and it's naive at best to tell Yukino to stand up to her. Really, the best thing Hachiman could do was be a good support on the sidelines.

However, I think volumes 12 and 13 were completely unnecessary and remind me of the qualms I had about season 2 content in general. I don't expect Hachiman to become a riajuu, but there was too much meandering to get to a meaningful conclusion.
Yes, we know the characters are awkward and make mistakes. But we didn't need two books of it over the course of a few years. Much of that should have been condensed or simply time-skipped.

well Yukino winning was predictable; First grill always win. From simplicity to complex and back to simplicity. People gets disappointed because their ship didn't sail. but hey that author's privilege how things end up.

Not true. Initially I did ship Yukino, but it got too unhealthy and majority of people (I beileve) who don't support them can see it too. It's not matter of shiping or first girl (unless you are Tiger), but simply about flawed writing.

Well as Yukino was obviously the girl that was gonna win, I would say in Youkoso it is the same thing right now where the love interest is far ahead of other heroines. On Tomozaki no idea.

It doesn't matter WHO? but HOW?. Well, if HOW? is unsatisfying WHO? unsatisfying too. So I guess HOW is just part of WHO so there is no difference after all...
