Can't believe this series is finally over ... what a roller coaster ride. Definitely not the best series, but having followed KNIM for so long it's sad to see it end nonetheless. Another one of the many manga series that's ended in the past 12 months.

Just read all the extra chapters. Akari's was way superior than the remaining extra chapters. Nagoshi's was forgettablel and shorter as if Seo asked himself mid-way why he included it

What would have made Nagoshi's superior than the others? If they showed them leaving the hotel and that dick that spit on Haruto in the one chapter spots them and Haruto gives him a nice smirk as they walk past...

Christ I forgot how long I followed this manga. It's done and over with now but the fact that it was cancelled means Seo had no intentions of just ending it.

He rode it out just to get that anime and maximize the profits. Once that happened, he farted out a quick ending so he could start up the Suzuka sequel.

I don't think there is. The assumption is based on how rushed the ending seemed. Hard to tell where the decision to end it came from; from above or from Seo himself.

Shonen Magazine's not as cutthroat as JUMP though. They would have kept the series going as long as Seo wanted. The fact that Fuuka debuted immediately following KNIM's exit echoes the School Rumble situation, in which the author was responsible for the conclusion, not the higher ups.

Fortunately for Seo, KNIM didn't generate the vicious backlash that SR did with its troll ending, so Fuuka has a chance of surviving.

Can't remember that SR actually had an ending. I do remember however that some day I decided never to pay money for anything SR-related again. I wonder why...

It didn't have an ending. School Rumble Z was worthless and there was no actual closure to Harima x Eri x Yakumo.

I've read some discussion on Redhawk forum, there will be chapter 260.5 which is Yuzuki's fantasy.
Can anyone translate what the text is saying on the picture?
Seo also said something like this chapter is more of a reality than fantasy.

It's says that Yuzuki's fantasy chapter will be set between chapters 260 and 261, and that makes it almost like a chapter 260.5.
Its more of a reality because it takes place in the actual canon unlike the rest of the Fantasy chapters which are „What if“ scenarios.

I'd say that in the end that KimiMachi had too much pointless time-skips and too much forced drama. And most of it wasn't even the good kind of drama.

That, and Haruto is a pretty terrible man.
Not entirely his fault, A lot of is because Seo wants to invent drama and warps his character to do so.

I think Seo should just do the art and let another person do the writing for his next series
well.. next next series.
