I don't know about you guys, but I never noticed Asahi never gave her input and everything they tried was Uryu's idea. I guess that says a lot about me...
The real life popularity contest was very different, no need for a tie-breaker here! Asahi came first with 3000 more votes than Yae who was second! (4600 votes vs 1500 votes)

Honestly I didn't really think on that. Mostly since they were doing things like following Asahi's string of wishes. I think the story did a good job getting us into Uryu's perspective. It didn't feel like her input wasn't being taken since she was doing things. She was running, coming up with ideas, practicing typing...and bust growing exercises ![]() But yeah, Uryu was the one that decided (probably correctly) that Asahi was the key to this. But is that even true? Haven't all these events and supernatural elements been focused on Uryu himself? It could be the gods want Uryu to truly understand Asahi and fulfill her wish. But Uryu is the type to decide things quickly and move ahead. Partly because he wanted to ease Asahi's worries, he certainly did never stop to ask her what she wanted to do. I like that being pointed out.

From what I'm seeing, the initial one's top 10 went: Yae, Yuna, Asahi, Uryu, Mahiru, Shirahi, Yomiko, Chiharu, the Grandpa, Makoto. Second one's top 10 went: Yae, Asahi, Yuna, <spoiler>, the Cat voiced by the author, Shirahi, <spoiler>, Uryu, Mahiru, Karen's mother (actually tied with Mahiru) |

Honestly from what I saw it's more that she never said anything, how is he supposed to know what she wants if she not only keeps quiet, but what she wants changes every damn time? She had plenty of chances to tell him, yet she chose to do other inane things while Uryu was the only one focusing on how to stop the loop, how is it that it's all of a sudden only his fault? First she wants to compete while at the same time stay with her sisters, then when she does stay with them it turns out that no, she actually wants to compete, and now she is even questioning her choice from a few episodes back... that level of indecisiveness is insane.
I bet that by the end of the arc they will just choose to change the date of the celebration back to the original (there's a reason it was mentioned) so she can have her cake and eat it too or something.

I too didn't get the feeling that Uryu was forcing his ideas on Asahi...but I guess author wanted to make it sound like he needs some character development. It's also kinda logical that if neither winning the marathon nor helping the festival were enough to break the loop, the next step would trying to do both.
Makes me wonder if the key is actually for Asashi to lose the race after giving her best, instead of winning with little effort.

I love how Karen just invites herself into Asahi's room and immediately criticizes it for being a "commoner's room." Got to stay true to that pushy ojousama vibe! And before you think this is a sexy yuri anime, Karen was just stripping Asahi so she could get dressed to run! Honestly! Though it's a turn-on for Uryu either way
![]() Ah, so Asahi is passing the guy living at her place as her "big brother." Though having a big brother with a sister complex and a peeping tom habit doesn't really sound that much better ![]() This is a race to decide everything for Karen, a race with Asahi's track career on the line, with Karen wishing for Asahi to give up track to dedicate herself to being a shrine maiden. Asahi hasn't been taking running seriously to the point where Karen has been catching up to her, and Karen is tired of obsessing over a rival who isn't putting her all into the sport, and this is the only way to bring an end to this one-sided rivalry...and Karen actually wins ![]() But too bad, because Asahi is a sore loser! And, yeah, technically Karen DID mentally throw her off her game...but at least now Asahi has realized that deep down she WANTS to keep running, because she's realized she wants to inspire people to keep running too like she did with Karen. And now she's ready to face Karen head-on ![]() Poor Uryu. He was really resolved to do the whole cheering for Asahi for a third loop and Asahi just told him no ![]() Not only did Asahi win the marathon (sorry Karen!) but they broke the time loop! They're finally free! Which means instead of being stuck in the past together, now Asahi and Uryu have their entire future ahead of them together ![]() We all knew they were going to use the old calendar to do Tanabata again so Asahi could participate! And this time they even bring out the Orihime outfits that each Amagami Sister looks amazing in! With Uryu as their Hikoboshi! Even Yuna's into the cosplay and the attention! But best of all is the Amagami sisters together and as tight-knit as ever ![]() Of COURSE Uryu was behind everything, asking Yomiko if they could do it and bowing his head to everyone, even that slimy snake Miemon, all to pull this off for Asahi! And Asahi is so overwhelmed with emotions over how far Uryu went for her ![]() So Yomiko DID know about the time loop, and is familiar with the person behind it...someone the Amagami sisters know well ![]() Amagami Sisters looking spectacular in yukata's! Asahi may think she can't beat her sisters in attractiveness (and boobs), but they have their childish sides too so it evens out ![]() Though getting lost at a festival is something kids do...but it gives her some handholding and alone time with Uryu to watch the fireworks together, so it's not that bad ![]() Asahi knows she's in the "little sister" zone and isn't on the same level of romantic interest with Uryu that her sisters are, but that means she needs to make a big move if she wants to stay in this race for his heart...a race she's determined to win. So with that in mind, she'll even go as far as be the first sister to kiss and confess to him! Okay, she kind of flubbed the confession, but she still got it out there! Asahi keeps moving forward ![]()

As expected, in the end Asahi was able to participate in both events, but it was thanks to Uryu's effort that convinced everyone to hold a second Tanabata festival.
Turned out she indeed needed to lose at least once to realize what her wish was, and to become even more serious in pursuing it, to the point she smashed get ordinal best at the marathon. Wasn't expecting the confession, seems like the plot us moving even if we know that Uryu won't make his decision before many years pass. Now, will Yae still be convinced to wait before confessing herself or she'll make her move to not be overtaken by her little sister? The ghost of the mother is playing cupid with all the supernatural events, but is she really setting up two of her daughters to be heartbroken when they won't be chosen? Or we may hope for the harem ending?

The real race has begun, and Asahi did everything she could to get a head start! Quite bold to both confess and kiss him!
I totally understand why she'd feel inferior to Yae but I don't remember Uryu showing any attraction to Yuna in front of Asahi, so it was a bit weird she thought she stood no chance against her either. I know a lot of it has to do with her body not being as developed as that of her sisters but still. Yuna really isn't a threat for now.

Hilarious start to this episode.
Karen motivated Asahi and gave her the push she needed, looks like they have become friends. Asahi wins the race and the loop is over for them thankfully. Looks like Yomiko knew about the loop. What an ending we got there.

No offence Karen but if you break into someone's room, pin them to the bed, and start removing their clothing there is only one interpretation to make! Nothing about that screams "hey let's go and race now!" Admittedly I didn't see Asahi losing...mostly since she's won every single race we've seen in this time loop
![]() I do feel for Uryu in the sense that he did put a lot into trying to find the solution to this problem. Yes, he didn't really listen enough to Asahi or understand her enough. But he did try! His efforts didn't really matter for solving the immediate dilemma though! Though maybe he did? Because Asahi's emotional breakthrough came through at the same time as the choice to have a second Tanabata festival it's hard to say. Was the key having Asahi find stability and peace? Or was it more about getting that second festival in for the Gods to be satisfied? Oh well, at least Asahi remains a lovable imp! One that has masterfully managed to convince Karen that Uryu is actually her brother and that they have an incestual relationship going on! Yomiko just can't help herself. She loves stirring the pot ![]() Was getting set to feel really bad for Asahi with the way the ending was going. Her feeling down about herself and her ability to really contend was a bit sad. She's about the same distance from Uryu's age as he is from Yae. But it just leaves her feeling inferior at times. But maybe the whole point of this situation was to give her the willingness to fight for what she wants. Whether it's running or anything else. If she just throws in the towel of course she'll have no chance. So she has to jump right in! Gotta throw her own hat into the ring and put her feelings out there. Great showing by Asahi in her arc ![]() Quote:

I guess Asahi's plan succeeded! Her confession and kiss has got her stuck in Uryu's mind! To the point of possibly giving him head trauma from his inability to process it! Though he's got more to worry about with his grades slipping, especially when Shirahi is doing better than he is. I mean, she's a Losing Heroine, so she needs what wins she can get to be smug about
![]() It's nice to know the adoptive moms are still in communication so Mahiru can get all the deets on the romcom hijinks. She also wants Uryu to face his feelings and desires earnestly, and the reality of what his dream now looks like, because of the impact his time with the Amagami Sisters has had on him. Plus she's pro priest Uryu ![]() Uryu may be a realist who doesn't think there's anything left of a person after they're gone...but having the sisters pray for his mom (he could have done without what Asahi told her) and seeing her again for just a brief moment meant everything to him ![]() Uryu is basically part of the family so he may as well know the truth about the Amagami Family...none of the sisters are blood-related and Chiharu basically adopted them as her daughters. So their a family that treasures the bonds that are formed from real connections, not just by blood, because that's how they came together as a family ![]() I mean, if Uryu didn't already knew Yae's backstory, the fact that none of the sisters look anything alike was probably the biggest clue. I am kind of morbidly curious about Asahi and Yuna's pre-Amagami situations though ![]() Asahi is self-aware enough to know how Uryu would respond to her confession...doesn't mean she'll stop flirting with him though ![]() Yae cleaned her room!? What sorcery is this!? Oh, it all got thrown into her closet. Classic Yae ![]() I KNEW something was going on with the sisters! They intend to thank Uryu for all he's done for them by pushing him to achieve his dreams, even if it means kicking him out! Even for the girls who are openly in love with him, they feel this is what they have to do for his sake...is this farewell for Uryu and the Amagami Sisters ![]() Well, think again! Because Uryu has found his faith and in doing so found a desire to inherit the shrine! So basically the sisters did all that for nothing! Though they're obviously happy to have Uryu still around, especially when now he has to seriously consider marrying them ![]() Next week: Yuna arc finally begins ![]()

So, the Amagami sisters aren't actually Amagami. Or sisters. They are all adopted, and I'm curious to see if we'll ever see their backstory (excluding Yae who hot that covered in her arc).
Now Uryu accepted to be the heir and is open to the idea of marrying oneof the sisters. So, since Yuna knows that Yae likes him, it makes sense that she steps back to not be an obstacle to her sister...although I'm guessing that in the next episodes she'll fall for Uryu too.
