Hot damn! This episode is a lot more depressing than I thought considering that they "just" need to do some exploring task. This anime is so edgy that it can make map-exploring mission this bleak . Not that I hate it.

The fujoshi girl actually grew on me. Her reaction just crack me up sometimes .

Also, WTF with that ED sequence?

Yeah, that was a pretty bleak episode. But we know that at least one of the teens will survive. Well, unless the rest of the season consists of voice actresses frolicking in the snow, or leaves, or on the beach or whatever. That would be quite a plot twist!

Ironically, the fire mage should have never died as she could have kept herself warm as long as her MP didn't drop to zero...

How do you walk in circles when you have real time satellite mapping?

Get too wrapped up in your monologue? Honestly yeah, it's pretty dumb that she both somehow ended up walking in circles and also just gave up. Oh well, you got turned around. Still have a freaking map. Just pick a fresh direction and get going.

Fitting as well that Yotsuya also ends up dying stupidly because he's too caught up in his own thoughts. Gotta stomp while thinking about his value system .

Even though I can't see them actually dying here, it's a good dramatic finish. They took nature a bit too lightly and it cost them. Not that they weren't under a tight time crunch. But they just kept going until they crashed and that was it.

This is an original anime scene. The way Yotsuya faced this part in the manga was much simpler, smarter and at the same time, he was honestly unlucky.

The first 5 minutes and the last minute are just so random They put quite some work on that Magiha Girl show it's amusing .

Anyway, the gang was saved by an unexpected character. It's a bit of Deus ex Machina but at least Yuka tried her best.

And yeah, the cat's outta the bag. Yuka asked the right question and the truth hit Yotsuya like a ton of bricks. Let's see how he handle it next.

Well, at least Blondie acknowledged it this episode that it was due to her stupidity.

Well that all worked out fine. Not all that surprising in honesty that they have just been isekai'd for these quests. Didn't really think the odds were high that this was a virtual world or anything. Though I suppose it struck Yotsuya a bit hard. That's a bit comforting since if he took that completely in stride I'd be a bit more worried about his mental state.

Even if it required some really timely help and some delusions the day was saved. My condolences remain to Yuka that her magical ability really is pretty garbage. But, at least being a fan of magical girl shows and a bit delusional helped save them all. Picked herself up and drew enough attention that a total miracle could happen in helping her clear enough of the map. Close but they made it.

Oh now YUka thinks about using fire to keep herself warm

That being said I kinda pity Kavhel here.
Little did she know that she was a chanceless side-romance, as the next time she'd meet the heroes she could be much older, at least going by what we've seen so far.

I think she kind of knows? The locals know about heroes. They probably know long term relationships don't work out. Or even happen. It could be why she didn't even try.

With only one episode left, I don't think we'll get to find out anyway.

I've got some questions. Like, how much of that S2 preview was a lie? And how many of the "Mysterious Beauties" are traps?

According to the manga, the "mysterious beauties" are legit.

Yay! Another male member! And an actual "normal" male. Not an androgynus & meek one. He can finally break the harem-y setting of the protag-group (he was also added to the ED). I can't wait to see how he will bounce off the other characters in season 2 .

So, is the loli Master trying to give him a better moral compass or something?

I hope that with this the topic of the manga becomes busier.

I always had this impression, as if she / he wanted to teach him about morality and kindness, but unfortunately for her, he is faithful to what he believes in, so talk no jutsu doesn't work.

This has been bothering me for a while.

Are the protagnonists following a route pre-planned by the Game Master or is it supposed to be purely random?
If skill progression is important for the characters, if they are supposed to learn how save the world, why settle this with a job roulette? And why is there a possibility of total failure (if all die at the same time, quest is failed and they also die on the origin world)?
Shouldn't a training system as advanced as Game Master's aim to maximise the chances of success?

^Shh, don't think about it too hard, if the mangaka doesn't bring up, then he/she didn't think about it that hard to begon with, so you shouldn't either.

It really depends on the bigger picture and the conclusion of the story. At this point, I doubt we're even halfway through. It's not like continuing-mystery is an automatic problem in a tv series. See Log Horizon & Re:Zero where the protags are still trying to make sense of their initial situation.
