I assume that the people in Steven's party are his neighbors (considering that parties in the West often happen between the organizer and any people nearby who decided to show up), and Steven has been all too familiar with the feeling that his status as a member of Libra has painted a huge target on him. Veded is his anchor of sanity, and the only reason Steven still has a warm-hearted side regardless of all the betrayals he experienced.

And I guess Chain very rarely interacts with others EXCEPT in situations where she knows lives are at stake, and she often helps in indirect or even roundabout ways.

As for Leo, I don't need to explain why he refrains from using his eyes. The episode already made that clear why.

Chain is totally hawt, and it seems that we'll get more of her next week!

EDIT: A quick look back on Episode 2 confirms that Steven has always been more cold-blooded than Klaus. He was willing to sacrifice everyone in the hospital just to help Klaus take down the Blood Breed.

he got his power in exchange for his sister's sacrifice in volunteering to be the one to get something taken away. So it doesn't feel right to him to use his powers for his own personal advantages since it be like 'well good thing that whole stuff happened to my sister, cause these eyes sure came in handy'

Felt bad for Steven, feel like those 'friends' of his may have actually been interacting with him for a long while for the long con.

well one thing is he using this power for "real selfishness, like bullying or extort or robbery but another is him protect himself against peoples hurting which make his sister sacrifice dumb since she did it to protect him, one thing is protect himself another is use for personal gains, that situation with the guy robbering him and also hurting him use his power not was something to make him feel bad once that power is supposed to help him and not allow himself to be beat to the pup, if him had used his power to beat that guy no matter how i look was self defense than anything bad or make him feel ashamed of himself even if was at his sister sacrifece cost which again was exactly to avoid that things.

Aside from Chain just letting Leo getting beat up and mugged (twice if she saw him at the bar), this episode was really cool. But seriously, I can't get over that. Why not help him on the spot if she could and was willing to?

because she knew which he could handly it if him stop to act so idiot about "i don't want use my powers cuzz my sister lost something for it, serious his reason in paper look so "lovely but" put in pratic is idiot and defy the purpose of his sister sacrifice which was for his sake and now instead of value what she did for him, he keep being a idiot and let "be beating" by smugles and even a easy "kill flag target", it's really his own fault, ast long he keep that "lugage" with him, don't matter she help or no because it gonna keep happening again and again and not all the times she will be there to help him, then he need to "grow up" and learn to true value his sister sacrifice for him, which letting being beat up not was her "purpose with the sacrifice.

I'd say pragmatic rather than coldblooded. It's not as he's not kind. Steven strikes as kind of people who weights the risks and rewards of a scenario. He's point was sound, with how strong Blood Breeds are implied to be I don't think said what he did out of callousness but to state the reality of the situation.

Honestly, Chain came off more coldblooded than Stevens to me in this when she let her fellow colleague get beat up for no reason. I can't imagine Stevens doing that.

Good lord, these werewolves are basically a squad of Leonard Churches. They can't shoot for shit. So Chain's ability is finally revealed. So does her token mean she's got a crush on Steven?

On another note, Rie Matsumoto's absence is becoming painfully apparent with each passing episode. The pace of the show seems so slow.

Wow, they're really giving Chain her moments this season.

She and her comrades were pretty badaass on their operation. A nice little balance of comedy thrown into this week's episode too with the hamburger guy and Leo in the background.

for what i get, her powers are to "erase" her existence" temporary, this means which she can temporary turn herself in a sort of "ghost" but as if she don't really exist, but if she use too much that power that "temporary" can become permanent and peoples just forget about her or her forget about her life that is why she neet a "hook" to ground her in extreme cases when she overuse her power as this episode.

This is the true perfect invisibility, where basically nothing can detect her even neither physical contact or sound don't work

Chain went too far and was beginning to cease to exist. As in everything began changing as if she was never born. She never gave Gilbert the vase so it changed, stepped on Zapp's head, and handed out that memo.
