Without actually trying to translate the whole sentence, it looks to me like it's probably much the same blurb as occurs at the start of the anime series, since it refers receiving something from his mother (presumably the legend of the winged girl). So I would refer to the opening to episode 1.

Assuming you mean Misuzu, she's the reincarnation of the winged girl that Yukito is looking for.

As she matures (and also due to the impact of Yukito's presence), she's beginning to remember in her dreams her life as a winged girl who was killed a 1000 years ago. But a human body isn't strong enough to contain the spirit of a winged being, so she's becoming ill too, basically her body is being destroyed from within.

Also, the winged girl was cursed by the people who killed her, and this curse prevents Misuzu from making any friends.

I second this request. Also, what are the differences between the two Air Blu-Ray releases? Also, does one of the releases have better packaging?

i just got finished watching the movie
umm is the movie supposed to be the all the episodes in one

also that movie mad me cry so many times
it was touching but tragic
i loved it
im probably going to watch it again tomorrow

No, although that depends on how you look at it. It's not a compilation movie. It's simply another studio's take on the same source material.

The movie is Toei Animation's take on Air, as opposed to Kyoto Animation's 12 episode TV series (+1 recap episode and the 2 episode extension of the Summer arc - Air in Summer).

This thing about Toei and KyoAni both producing an anime adaptation of a Visual Novel from Key is something that has happened thrice so far. It's not just limited to Air...

Toei animated Kanon in 2002 as a 13 episode TV series and KyoAni aired their version of Kanon (24 episodes) during the winter of 2006/2007. They also (both) did Clannad recently. Toei's version is a movie and Kyoto Animation released Clannad as a 46 episode TV series (+ 1 recap episode and 2 DVD only specials - Kyou-hen and Tomoyo-hen)


Edit: I don't know if you've seen Kyoto Animation's version of Air yet or not, but if not I really recommend it. Kyoto Animation's Key adaptations are far superior to Toei's. This is of course just my own opinion but it's very rare to find someone who prefers the Toei version of Air, Kanon or Clannad. A friend of mine prefers the Toei version of Clannad though (for a very specific reason) so I'm not saying that everyone finds the KyoAni adaptations superior, only that a vast majority does. What I'm trying to say is; if you haven't seen the TV series already, give it a shot. =)

I don't know if this will be answered, but:

To any game veterans, would this be a good anime to watch? I'm thinking of breaking my self-ban on anime (watched only Gundam Seed and Angel Beats! in the past ten years) if this was a worthwhile adaptation to watch.
