SoS-dp's releases are English-subtitled. They're "soft" subtitles, however, which means they won't appear unless you turn them on. How to do that depends on what video player you're using.

Anyway regarding the Aerogators who are attacking:

They should be just a legion in an almost unlimited space empire, am i wrong? If that's the case then Earth is doomed: if this legion wins it's game over, if it loses then this alien empire will send military force ten times bigger.

Everybody is pretty much a clone in the Balmar empire forced to fight by their spirit emperor Ruach Guneden, or so it would seem. Oh and they are blatantly supposed to be a Euphemism for Israel. I'll explain this if you give me time. Basically you make friends with Armana and then attack the homeworld while all the fleets are off fighting the Buff Clan. That's how you win.

Okay well since this has more to do with the Alpha-verse it won't be spoilers, but the Balmar tribe upon the first apocalypsis left there homeworld and wandered across the vastness of space (the desert) with their leader and protector the spirit emperor (Yahweh) to found the Balmar Homeworld (Israel).

Aside from constantly evoking Hebrew names and texts in the naming of their mecha such as Zechariah, Ezekiel (Adam), Caemal, Vaikul Ben, Mishlei, Rebi (Torah), and I could go on forever practically, there's:

The whole symbolic Garden of Eden like ideals about their empire including an actual Gun(Eden) supposedly symbolizing purity (Absence of sin) and Perfection (although see Irui for the real Guneden).

Constantly being at war with somebody or something through the ideal that everything is in defense of the empire and the fragile people, meaning the idea that their entire history has been a struggle (read the old testament starting with Exodus).

The way their government is set up like a Kibbutz in a false utopia of powerful and influential families supposedly living in harmony and community.

Baran Doban is likely supposed to be comparable to Moshe Dayan.

The religion being almost like a twisted version of Kaballah emphasizing a living god in Ruach Guneden, when in reality a false god is ruling them, which is a theoretical possibility that has led to criticism of the Kaballah by some. Though I'm not to familiar with the Kaballah, this is the impression I'm getting from the Wiki article on it.

There are certainly many more parallels out there and it is valid to draw them because its so obvious the image that the Balmar Empire is supposed to invoke when you see all the names.

Note this is in no way meant to be a criticism of Israel or any such thing from me, this is just what I draw from the game itself and Banpresto's ideas. They do this a lot actually. I always took the Einst race who will be introduced in the next OG2 anime (Should it be made), as a euphism for The Third Reich with their German naming theme and there goal of creating a master race.

Also they are interested in Earth because..... this may be a spoiler actually

They are the same race as humans and Earth is to them as Egypt was to the Israelites. Although its never stated outright, Earth is likely the place that the Exodus started from.

With regard to the R-Gun, once Ingram "went evil," the visor changed from the green bar to the red eyes. As I recall, the Rivale was supposed to be huge, and not just PT-sized, so unless they really decided to tone it down, it was just the stock R-Gun. Even more telling, however, is that it's still the basic R-Gun design. The Rivale looked almost nothing like the R-Gun.

Spoiler for Aerogators' motives:

In OG, it was stated that they're after humans because humans are unique in the galaxy because of their innate warlike nature. As a result, the Aerogators want to collect samples of the most combat-advanced humans, and then turn them into weapons via cyborgification (not really a word, but who's checking, right?) and brainwashing.

This is why they haven't attacked with enough force to wipe out humanity. Since they want to keep pushing the samples (primarily the SRX and ATX teams) to become better weapons, they send just enough forces to push them a little further.

Spoiler for Aerogator's identities:

All the Aerogators we've seen so far - Ingram, Viletta, Levi, etc, are mostly brainwashed humans. Ingram is a bit of a strange case, being more an engineered human...or something like that, and restricted by Judecca. Viletta is a clone of Ingram, and is unrestricted by Judecca, acting as a double (though more technically a triple) agent. Levi is the pilot of Judecca, and a brainwashed human. Before her capture and brainwashing into Levi, she was Mai Kobayashi, Aya's younger sister. Atad, the last (I think) of the actual Aerogators shown in OG was, like Mai, abducted after a lab accident. And no, I don't really count Gaza and Galuin as Aerogators.

IIRC ingram stole the r-gun, but the r-gun that shows up later is the rivale in disguise. villeta arrives in the real r-gun to help you out in the og1 game.

That would be true except

In Alpha-verse they were fighting multiple wars on all sides so they didn't have any more fleets to spare. In OG-verse its implied as the same situation by the Zuvorg Inspectors who mention that the Balmar are spreading themselves thin.
