Non Non Biyori’s Author to Work on a New Anime Project
The September issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine revealed on Monday that Non Non Biyori manga creator Atto is creating original character designs for a new anime that is being planned. The announcement did not reveal any other details about the new anime. The October issue of the magazine will include a collaborative cover featuring Non Non Biyori and the new anime when it ships on August 27.

Ah, the anime logic...

Another nice episode under the rainy weather. I just love how Renge has that mask of hers on while still somehow being cute.

Renge totally stole the show again ... yes, the teru teru bozu scene was absolutely hilarious (poor Koma-chan).

But at the end the scene with Renge and the tadpole shrimp was another one of those really effective ones where a lot is said with Renge present and saying nothing. It just ... works. Especially later on when she drew herself and included the tears.

Good on Natsume btw.

Because you never know, lurking in the fog, a Black Tear Teru Teru Bozu just might be around the corner waiting for you with a shovel in his hand and bucket to fill.

It's NONDAY!

The author is a genius. The way he set everything up feels so natural and when everything comes together it's almost like poetry happens.

I was laughing outloud at the scene where Komari is on her way to Renge's house when it was raining.
Even though it was going to be predictable I cannot hold back the laugh that it was going to happen more than my expected outcome.

Another absolute treasure.

The first part we have that nice Renge thing with the Teru Teru Bozu and her funny disparaging song. Of course Koma-chan being chased by Renge/Jason is really hilarious.

The second part, we get to see Renge finally getting a sense of one's mortality as she cares for some Tadpole-shrimps. It affected her deeply when they died. The part where she has to write in her report of the creatures demise is the most heart wrenching. Good thing Natsumi gets the signals and shows her the flip-side of life. The sun after the rain.

The tadpole shrimp's story was just brilliant. It instilled a very precious lesson in Renge. Everybody dies at some point, but the circle of life continues.

Funny how they manage to sneak in a "beach" episode. I am also now hungry for some okonomiyaki. Hmm I wonder if Dennys in Japan serve that.

Poor Koma-chan. Always has a hard time during summer. That disaster setup by Renge is so obvious, but it still turns really hilarious with the double eye jab.
