Being an X-men fan for nearly 20 years, I'm expecting very much of an animated show about the team.

I'll wait for the plot, but the design are, IMO, the worst I've ever seen. Where is the sacred X on the costume ?
I didn't like what they did on Iceman and Kitty regarding Wolverine & the X-men.
The original costumes were awful. And those ugly uniforms kinda remind me of the new ones Madhouse settled on.

You kidding, most people that very casual when come to anime know Hosoda more than Kon. At least that I know anyway.

Yea Kinda miffed theres no Gambit, I like him alot.

And a little weird not seeing Rogue either.

But more importantly they gotta have a updated vers of the cartoon intro!

Well, looks like they'll be basing the series partly off Grant Morrison's New X-Men and Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, which couldn't have been better picks, imo. That's some excellent source material right there. Still, can't say I'm entirely sold just yet given how terrible Madhouse's previous collaborations with Marvel have been. At least Wolverine looks a bit more like his usual self here than he did in his solo anime.

first X-Men cartoon = awesome

X-Men Evolution = Full of stupid humor, no age variety, for litle kids

Wolverine & the X-MEN = Lol at the intro showing the heroes saving defenceless kids from faceless robots; the original intro had a mob of normals chasing Jubelee. Wolverine is no leader and Age of Apocalypse kickstarted with Xavie dying. Too liberal in the storyline for my tastes.

X-Men anime = Oh come on, this doesn't even look good. Where is Jeanne???

Don't believe she's been alive for at least 7 years in the comics. Possibly longer. She's basically been replaced by Emma Frost.

Well another sure watch for me.

Jean's dead here also wonder if this is Joss Whedon's story then I guess where up for the mutant cure here or as seen in the intro there is alot of Fire. It's probably the Hell Fire club consisting of Emma Frost, Sentinel and Casandra Nova.

kinda funny how Marvel goes for the anime style while DC goes for the comic book art style. Just got my All Star Superman DVD. It was awesome!

Eh didn't like All Star Superman. Wonder Woman was great though, easily the best DC animated movie in that last several years. Surprised by how brutal it was though.

All Star Superman story is quite great on my part. Funny thing about Wonder Woman she killed people in her ova cartoon.

Anyways back to X-men. I really hope they make Cyclopes a badass here, he never really grew on me, though I like his powers.

+

Some 90's nostalgia anime intro

Know why? Because he's a complete and utter dick, plus a horrible husband.

Personally, I always liked Havok.

No, she's also from the comics. But she made her first appearance last 2004.

This is the issue here. No matter how good the source material is, there is no guaranty it will be good In fact, even an anime with a pretty subpar source like High School Of the Dead ended up being overall stupider.

As for the designs ... Well for starters, Wolverine is wearing platform boots. I mean ... lol?

If you mean if she is constantly alive for long periods of time, then no, it's like GDB said. She does, however, come back to life every once in a while, for the holidays.

Generally speaking, DC handles their animated properties better than Marvel's, due to who's in charge being interested in creating a more enjoyable story than simply treating it as a commercial.

Generally speaking, of course. The DC Animated Movies have been hit and miss overall, with All Star Superman being ... a huge miss to say the least. The only thing stoping me from going all Ardouc on it is the death of Dwayne McDuffie. But it was a baaad movie.

Wonder Woman is known to be more brutal in dealing with criminals and adversaries considering she is an amazon.

True a great enjoyable story is what makes an animation great besides the designs, though the designs covers are the initial one to pull in the watchers and buyers of the DVD's.

Well I liked the All Star Superman storyline though still it looked more open ended in the cartoon.

No wonder....Diana is a BDS&M queen from start tying up and beating up men hehe lol

First thing I said, she looks like Hinata, I was hoping Psylocke might have been involved, maybe we can hope for a cameo, or maybe even Sunfire. How about a Deadpool Cameo?
