??? What is this Kaze no Stigma show? It flew under my radar, but it's actually pretty popular? Well, will wait on that one until the main rounds start to see if it warrants attention.

Kaze no Stigma is a plot-wise average show lifted by the fact that it has one cool male lead and an above-average tsundere female lead. From what I read its another one of those anime-doesn't-do-novels-justice sort of thing.

I like to think of it of a Shakugan no Shana with awesome badass Yuji (I mean, from the start), and Shana with breasts.

Shana with breasts is not too far off a description... though for the Yuji part it'll be Yuji-with-spine-and-badass-hax-X-9000-with-awesome-powers...

Well, these descriptions are only superficial to me. The Yuji and Shana I see are far too developed and advanced to mean anything in quick comparisons to newer characters. Also, Yuji had Newtype Hax (and Badassery) right from the start - even if it never got animated properly in either S1 or the movie.

Ah, yes, Ayano... Well, she gets points for being a tsundere with a fang, even if Kazuma does steal her thunder.

Forget the SnS comparisons--all you need to know is that we have a guy with wind-god-hax who constantly makes snarky comments while saving the day while playing bodyguard to the fire-princess-tsundere-cousin, whose father wants to hook them up. The TVTropes entry.

Yea.. Ayano and her tendency to get upskirt shots One thing this series lacked was "costume-changes". Ayano just keeps running around in her seifuku...

Kaze no Stigma the anime mustn't be approached with an expectation to see a "masterpiece", that would only bring disappointment.

Hahaha, I'm well used to watching sub-par anime for the sake of keeping up to date with Saimoe Lore. Very rarely do I expect 'Masterpieces' if I haven't already gotten wind of the show before Saimoe brings it to my attention.
