Decent episode.. I too am glad they resumed the manga adaptation. I really enjoyed this arc - its always good to get some back story and in a back story like this one.. its a real eye opener and head turner.

The jokes with Unohana are hilarious too.

Filler is anything that's not in the manga. This arc was in the manga.

Man I'm so glad I finally get to see this arc animated, and with extra helpings of young Soifon too.

Well that was decent filler.

I think what he meant was that the manga material was mixed in with anime original stuff. Like with Soifon following Urahara. It's not so much filler as it is expanding the episode to keep it 1 chapter per episode.

Which is fine with me because I find the story in the arc far more interesting then the random fighting that has been happening for the last however many episodes its been.

Ah I see. Now that makes sense. The filler stuff was alright. Fill in little gaps and keeps it going. Theres never an episode that doesn't have filler anyways.

Yep that's right. Turn back the pendulum arc is in the manga.
