Was wondering of this would be given an adaptation.

I began reading it some time back but dropped it after a bit as it did not hold my attention.

The source materialis a manga (if I remember correctly) and it is primarily a comedy series....

The manga was boring and its titular character who's just another ridiculously spoiled, ungrateful brat totally got on my nerves so i'm out.

I dunno, I only got into the series lately but I love it~~
I don't know how it'll get an adaptation this early though... It seems like they're developing backstory slowly throughout the manga with wistful chapters here and there, so I wonder if waiting a bit longer is better.

What's with the hate for the manga? I enjoy every chapter of it and hope it's not gonna get a 5 minute length per episode adaptation.

Don't worry about it ... different folks have different likes and dislikes.

Maybe they will do a stupendous adaptation? We will see.

Umaru-chan is more like, imagine reading Yotsubato, but the girl is a mix of Yotsuba and Konata from Lucky Star.

Oniichan in this is more like daddy, and Umaru is an adorable little creature.

No question that Umaru is spoiled and selfish, but there is lot of love between her and her brother still. Even when Umaru acts all selfish there is no is malicious or ill intent on her part, most of time she is just naive.
There are lot of great interaction between the brother and the sister that makes it feel like a genuine family love.

This ... is actually a pretty good summary of the series (at least what I read before losing interest, as it was not quite my cup of tea).
