I love how they get so many disparate character designs to fit together so well. Most shows nowadays, even the good ones, have characters who all look similar to each other, usually with the only real differences being hair color and style, body shape, eye color, and one of three or four eye shapes (if that many). These characters look like they were each designed by separate people with different styles, but they all still fit together well. It gives an old school Disney/Looney Tunes feel to the series that really adds to the tone.

the episode plays a bit like an homage to Disney's Cinderella, including the use of 'Bippity Boppity Boo' as a spell to make magic dresses.

Good moments all around. Though poor Diana gets her turn as the comedic victim. Getting stung twice by that bee so she fell in love with Akko....and herself . They just had a lot of fun playing with the 'ships' currently out there.

Good fun. And we did get to understand Andrew a bit more through this.

Huh, didn't expect to be among the first, specially considering some of the stuff that happens this episode.

It's love potion time, or rather, love bee time, specially for Andrew and Diana, with hilarious results. Before anything, got to say I love how the whole thing started: no plot contrivance, no funny coincidence, just Suzy shamelessly trolling Akko to enjoy the ensuing comedy Never change, you crazy mushroom lady.

Of course, this being LWA, we did get some development, that is, both us and Akko got a better understanding of Andrew's circumstances, mainly the fact he's under a lot of pressure from his dad due to the whole politics and lineage stuff, but of course, our little witch is already starting to do a number on him without help from any magical bee, in her own way.

Also, holy crap, Lotte, well done! ...actually, if someone was going to get male companionship amongst you three, it would be you, of course, but still, good for you, girl.

Fun stuff and setup once again. Now, I have to wonder, how will they end this cour?

I'm starting to think I should feel ashamed for expecting anything less from her.

This is not what I expected from Diana's first fall from grace, but it works.

It's probably more fun with the idea of romance in general (shoujo face overload!), but I'm sure a lot of people won't see it that way. This is going to be a fun week.

Once again, we have Sucy to thanks for a fun time. Poor Diana though, she was definitely the one that got hit the hardest. First falling in love with Ako, and then herself.

Ako did come out of this with a better understanding of Andrew though. Spend so much of his life trying to fulfill the duty that his father is passing down to him, that he really doesn't have any dreams or goals of his own.

Wasn't expecting Lotte to be the one to come out of this with a potential suitor. Not bad.

Ah, Sucy and her trolling with Akko again. Funny stuff. I wonder what would of happened if the bee stung her LOL.

Hilarious episode overall. Pretty sure Frank will meet Lotte again in the future and I also have no doubt that Andrew will meet Akko again. Oh Diana was hilarious to watch when she fell in love with her self.

While those 3 girls totally rocked their gowns, Akko's gown looked kinda... uh... risque with that entire strapless and shoulderless display/

Must be a cultural or expectations thing. Seemed tame enough to me that I didn't even notice it was shoulderless until you called my attention to it. Even so, there wasn't really anything risque about it. She managed to make it seem quite innocent, but that would probably be true of any clothing she wears short of her skivvies. Maybe it might have been a bit too much if she had a more mature body, or if she had been showing cleavage.

Should note that Diana's dress was also strapless, but it was even more conservatively cut, particularly at the shoulders and back.

But once again Sucy steals the show. Someone earlier suggested that Sucy was going as Maleficent, which I'm sure was a joke at the time, but given the source of their dresses, it was pretty much on the nose. Angelina Jolie, eat your heart out.

And if Netflix doesn't at least try to get the actual Chumlee to voice his expy, a great injustice will have been done... It's one thing if it's a one-time cameo, but not!Chumlee is basically a secondary character at this point.

Lol this episode was amazing.

This is why I love this show ahahaha.

I wonder if Akko and Andrew are going to end up being close friends or if it's going to be something more?

Was glad to see Lotte also won a bit at the end there. Also, Sucy was being Sucy.

I wonder if the Mayor is going to especially feel a grudge to Akko because of that moment at the end there.

Either way, this episode had me at the shoujo love-struck animations. I just kept on dying.

Best. Episode. Yet. 10/10.

Now that's more like it. I've been a bit disappointed by this show over the past couple weeks (I'll give the Soucy episode points for sheer craziness but it felt like a bit of a sidetrack). This episode restored my faith.

I like to think that Akko's disgusted reaction to Diana's confession was less because Diana is another girl and more because Diana is the stuck up Miss Perfect honors student Akko decided was her rival.

I had the same thought. It makes sense, she's so strict, she must be with herself as well.

As soon as the love bee was brought up, I just knew there'd be a scene where Diana would fall in love with Akko. What I didn't see coming is that she would later fall in love with herself

I thought it was sweet Lotte found herself a potential boyfriend. Nerdy characters like her usually get shafted.

Boy did I laugh out loud with this episode. I think I completely cracked up every time the evil stepsisters (Diana's hubchwomen) fell backwards from catching something shocking happening. Diana falling in love with herself was just pure comedy gold as were all of Akko's reaction faces during the episode. Yet another great episode, this show may be taking its sweet time with the main plot but that's perfectly alright if we keep getting more of these fun weekly adventures.

That was perhaps the best episode of the show so far. Diana, was truly wonderful and hilarious this time. Akko really has some skills now.
