From the Ichika-Yotsuba talk, I don't think Yotsuba stopped Ichika just to sabotage Nino. From the way their conversation went, it seems like she just got worried about Ichika's general state with her leg injury and depressive behavior. She stopped her, because she clearly was on edge already.
The stupid part to me is how Yotsuba's words gave courage to Ichika. How is that any different from what Miku wanted about 35 chapters ago? A rival says it's fine to aim for the same guy, yet she doesn't take her advice and keeps being dishonest. A neutral party says that she doesn't have to restrain herself, she reborns from ashes. Fuck logic.

Why? Negi took away her confidence after the exams, and now she can't even be direct about non-romantic issues with Fuutarou? She just had to tell him that she wants him to consider her and the quints as friends, not partners, because she wants their relationship to be not solely study centric anymore. But we ended up with Fake Itsuki being vague as hell about a relationship change. *Sigh*
She meant no harm to the others, but this is clearly a CIS moment for her. And it also quickly contradicts Chapter 61, where she said she still wants him to teach her. He could still do it as a friend, but like I said, she was too vague.
What's next? She will be revealed as the Kyoto girl, who also used the Rena alterego, because she didn't want an advantage like this for Fuutarou to get interested in her?

We can both agree that Miku's actions are CIS because it pretty much go against her established character up to this point.

I chalked Yotsuba's "talk" with Ichika up to PIS because the actions she took, while in-character for her, were used to benefit Ichika so that we can finally move beyond her "denial" that's been dragged out for seemingly this manga's entire serialization...

As a matter of fact, Ichika's decision following said talk is itself CIS because how is this any different from all those other times where she discussed this particular topic with Miku? What makes it even more facepalm-worthy is that she'd take to heart the words of an unrelated party over the words of someone who's in the same situation as her.

We don't know why she did it, so it's too soon about being OC or CIS. Maybe there is perfectly valid explanation (or not, but that's the point).

Man, Ninos crush has to be the most shallow I have ever seen: "I hate you to the point of getting you fired and drugging you multiple times, but you showed up on a motorcycle to pick me up so now I want you". Glad to see that Ichika also noticed the shallowness behind her motivations.

Man, the author is doing the most to not only keep Miku away from Fuutarou but to also not let her have any meaningful interactions, to the point that he is willing to actively have her act like an entirely different version of herself anytime she is near the guy. I get that she is being shy due to being in love, but she used to be able to talk to the guy, now she can barely be near him without overreacting to every little thing.

Seriously, I bet that if you do a comparison to how she acted before Nino started to hug the spotlight you would see a vast difference in her character. The last time we saw the actual Miku was either when they were taking care of the daughter of Ichika's boss or when she was making the chocolates.

Regarding Fake Itsuki, Like I said before I think we should wait for some introspection before jumping the gun.

The act itself should be considered OOC and/or CIS, even without an explanation. Real Itsuki probably hit the nail on the head, and the whole thing was meant for Fuutarou to think of them as friends now, since his tutoring job is over. So the OOC/CIS moment was using Itsuki's identity to change their current relationship, instead of telling Fuutarou directly what she wants.

Seriously? Have you read the manga? Nino liked him way before that moment but she kept thinking that what she was feeling wasn’t love, she repeated it many times in her head. The motorcycle moment was just the instant she accepted that it was love.

She addressed him as Uesugi-kun, the same way Itsuki does. Shortly after Grandpa thew Fuutarou to the floor, she ran away. She had an opportunity to reveal herself later, but didn't do it. Negi slowly takes away everything that made her good.

There is no particular reason why she should reveal herself though. Given it was just matter of time before Fuutarou would realise everyone are 'Itsuki'. All she got is anonymity and didn't do real Itsuki any diservice.

Lol, don't you think you're going a bit too far here? even if you do consider dumb/OOC whatever is currently happening, somehow there's still a basis for it and everything is still a build up to make her eventually regain her confidence.

Everybody left the room, but she deliberately waited for Fuutarou to have a talk. Instead of coming clean and apologize for the yesterday event, she rather explained why Papa Nakano is there with them, and how she wants Fuutarou to recognize her. But in the upcoming chapter, she says that it should be impossible for him to tell them apart after 6 months.
And if the whole thing is about being friends and not partners anymore, then she should have immediately countered him back in the shop, when he said that he has no reason to visit them. No need to make it this difficult and tell him that as Itsuki. I feel like it’s not her style at all.

It was a bit of overraction, I must admit.
But how or when did she lose her confidence exactly? I would argue that she was relatively fine, albeit sad after she lost to Ichika in the test score wars, but she was ready for the next round, said she won’t lose next time. Then during her love talk with Fuutarou, she said that she couldn’t confess, because things won’t be able to go back to the previous state anymore, if she did. When did such thoughts concern her? She technically already confessed once during the babysitting, and had confidence inviting Fuutarou to a date, or setting up the best score limitation as motivation. Her current self is a coward according to her, and then she also does important stuff regarding Fuutarou as someone else...

DJBlitzkrieg, Even without knowing the context, the extremities in behaviour versus her normal characterization is still reason enough for us to call foul on it. Her current behaviour as fake Itsuki is too far of a departure from how she normally behaves.

I'm a Miku fan too, but I'm not gonna be biased here. We don't need context for this one. Even with justification, her behaviour is still OOC. WingedAccelerator also made some fair points by saying that her choice of words were poor and ended up creating a misunderstanding that was completely avoidable tbh. Additionally, despite joining in on the test, it was still in poor taste for her to not try to identify herself when she had at least two known opportunities to do so.

Considering how "important" something like changing the status of their relationship would be, you'd think that she'd treat it a little more seriously. Instead, she words it in the most cryptic way imaginable and proceeds to turn this into a detective game by (intentionally) hiding among her sisters. All the justification in the world couldn't believably explain why she did these things without OOC behaviour being involved. Especially considering how frank and honest she usually is when it comes to expressing herself.

She literally tells Ichika that that was why she fell in love with him, also the reason Ichika looks pissed in the next panel since she noticed how shallow her crush is when compared her own and Miku's.

Sorry, but I have to butt in here.

Just because Nino tells Ichika that doesn't mean it's actually what she herself feel. TThe entire chapter leading to the bike rides shows Nino being bothered about her growing feelings toward Fuutarou and trying to deny it, then finally accepting the truth and confessing at the end. Heck, even Miku seems to notice Nino being bothered about it.

Either that, or the author is copping out to make way for Ichika.

I did say in my first post on this matter that I also consider all of this OOC, but the issue is that we really haven't got any introspection from her in a long time aside of "Why am I such a coward?", neither we know if something hapenned in-between the day she went to the super market and the day that they arrived at the onsen, remember that Itsuki mentioned that she (along with the others) was acting weird.

That's why I think that regardless of anything, it's for the best to wait for motives/intropection before jumping the gun like that.

In the same conversation when she sees Ichika's reaction Nino agrees that it is shallow but that she will still try to get him to fall for hed either way. It's in the chapter itself, maybe not in the same words but it is there.

The worst part is that this reads like the author is telling us that he knows it is shallow, but that he won't stop focusing on it, which is pretty messed up.

When you think about it, essentially what we see is probably the quints' last 2 years together, living under the same roof. Graduation and career building are gonna seperate them, while one of them gets Fuutarou as well. But the others will be still happy for them, because they are a family, and each of them had their shot.
