In the book novel, the protagonist's age is bumped up by 2 years. He's 12 years old instead on 10.

Which is not much better, but using it may save you a few SAN points in the long run.

There's a lot of kansai dialect or just dialect/old polite in this series. It's very difficult to read because there's a great deal of descriptive text in it as well.

I will be surprised if translation tools work well on this.

agree with silent wolfe here, you can barely make out the fight scene and the general story, but when it come to the specific jargon even Atlas cannot help you.

So the prototypes were stolen by some asshole noble in the same country? I can't believe Eru lost.

Makes sense he lost, he was out numbered 10 x 4 and the rules restricted the huge centaur knight.

The Karudatoa-Norderstedt knights made by the National Production Laboratory were finished products, with improved endurance while keeping most of the other advantages over the first prototype.

From the summary the Karudatoa-Norderstedt knight is the one that should go in production, as it could easily be adopted and used without any retraining by current troops. Eru's stuff was more advanced however the tech was not quite there for it to go to the front lines, especially since endurance is important.

Eru's series of knights sound like they require higher training levels to use and would do well as an elite force, after more extensive prototyping and testing.

They should eventually produce both sets of knights with the KN knights being from appearances a finished product, ready to be mass produced.

Besides, regardless of what happens the King got what he wanted, which was to light a fire under the National Production Laboratories.

Yes. This little fight proved that Eru's still a child and lost sight of the point of making weapons, which is making them so anyone can use them.

Eru doesn't really care about the whole standardized line frame. He is an idea man, and he is very good at designing specialized frames and piloting them. Once he gets access to the Ether engine/converter, he'll be able to take care of his group's energy problems and improve his designs by a couple generations.

The head blacksmith dude's frame is better, at least for a standard. So it's perfectly reasonable that it will be used. Doesn't matter, because everybody knows who the source of that generation is, and it isn't him. He will be a footnote who made them practical.

Remember that one of Eru's goals is to create his own personalized Silhouette Knight, just for himself. Since he was an otaku in his previous life and assumedly watched/owned a lot of mobile suit apparel he will have some idealized Knight he wants to produce. That is the reason why he actually doesn't care and is continuing to push the generations forward without actually refining them into the standardized line frame.

From the sounds of it he is running 100% off his mecha otaku habits wanting to create his own perfect knight.

I doubt the head blacksmith and the team there will be a footnote. Eru may create the foundation for the new Knights to come out, but it will be up to the other teams to refine his latest ideas into designs that can be used and mass produced.

The thing is he is actually well known and at the end of the day not even the ones they brought with them were the ones who stayed at the end, it was a model based in the one from the new model eru presented, pushing the generation once more, he is actually in the mouth of everyone, in this case the lead researcher gives due credit to eru, but the reason the leader of the R&D was worried about eru and the silver knights was another thing altogether.

So in short, At the end of the fight, the Silver Bird and R&D worked together, Silver Bird invent the new Silhouette Knight, R&D are tasked with refining it to standardized line ready to be mass-produced.

The originator, as in, the country Eru resides in right?

does Eru actually managed to make a copy of the Levitation Device after that?

Like, the Ship get shot down and Eru Co managed to salvaged the tech.

As a Mecha Fanatics, a Flying Mecha is a must, after all.
