Pretty sure its just a coincident, its a common thing when there is conflicting heroes. Because who the hell is Locke and why should we care about him? compared to Superman, Chief and Batman.

Locke is an ONI agent and he also appears in Halo: The Master Chief Collection where he gives info about the factions, events and races in Halo.
Also Locke's actor is Luke Cage in the MCU.

And if your talking Spartan Sarah Palmer, infamous in Halo 4 for being an arrogant operative and tried to assassinate Dr Halsey under ONI's orders in Spartan Ops, then no. Locke's team is made up of himself, Buck, Tanaka and Vale. Sarah is still in Halo 5 albeit with more humility after an event in the Halo Escalation comics almost led to her arrest due to her arrogance that led to a mission failure.

Eight days untill halo 5 drops!
To be honest, I probably won't pick Halo 5 up because I was perfectly fine with how Halo 3 ended; Master chief being declared MIA, the Human-Covenent war ending, and a closing speach. (before the credits). Honestly, Halo 4 kind of killed the franchise for me, sad to say.

I'm waiting for Halo 9 (supposedly the last in the trilogy of trilogies Microsoft/343 has planned for the franchise), so that my grandkids can get me the ultimate complete Halo collection bundled with the latest holo-nuero XBox Omega.

It should be noted that the supposed ending to Halo 5 has already been leaked (won't post it here, though), due to an official 343i vidoc where the camera lingers on storyboard and voice acting transcripts lying around. People on Reddit have already deciphered the papers in question and posted a full transcript of what is believed to be one of the ending scenes.

And I say "supposed" because this suspiciously looks like a repeat of the Halo 4 vidoc leak, where the multi-Cortana vs Didact fight was accidentally revealed the exact same way. So there is a possibility this is actually 343i trolling the fanbase and throwing a massive red herring into the wild.

^--Yeah, the Halo: Escalation comics, which take place more or less directly after Spartan Ops; they introduce some H5 characters, such as Holly Tanaka and explore the fate of some Spartan Ops individuals, like DeMarco. You also get to know what ultimately happened to the Didact, who was last seen falling into the Composer's beam. One arc is Blue Team-centric, whereas the rest is pretty much Spartan IV/Infinity crew-oriented.

One thing I can say is that there are practically no difference whether you're playing as Blue Team or Osiris. Gameplay-wise they both do the same thing, which means it comes down to characters, but that doesn't say much because all 4 members of both team have the same character types and interact the same way more or less.
