Have you ever looked at the top lists? I usually search by most chapters/series with highest word counts, then ratings/views/etc...

Also, I prefer series with level systems included, so I pretty much burned out those tags.

as far as I remember Legend already has a Light novel in publication under Kadokawa I think. Not too sure how the jap publishing industry works.

Btw I have the vol 1 of legend but never really got the time to read it. So is the heroine that brown haired ponytail girl who looks like a receptionist.

Btw the MC has frickin crimson hair and azure blue eyes. Art is pretty good.

Yeah, he has that parade of magic items and summons. The scythe is the same as the Griffon a summon. Though he gave most of the good items to the Griffon. Those two bracelets/necklace.

The MC is OP from the start but that's just compared to normal people. Strength wise his strength was like B rank when he first gets summoned. Griffons are listed as A rank, so that gave him a bit of leeway to not lose, as well his mana. Though he sucks as a magician.

He finally comes across the second thing that can kick his ass that he's met since he went to that world in more recent events, and actually loses a fight to him.

By the gods, the English translation makes my eyes bleed. I suspect even machine translation can do better than whatever the translator's trying to do. I'm reading the raws.

EDIT: This is a damn good story that didn't deserve the tiny amount of attention it gets here. Intricately woven story, well written plot, strong logic, strong attention to details, no skimming and easy way out and side characters that are very memorable. This is already best seller grade, and it will stand easily with top fantasy genre light novels of all times.

So it seems some one has finally picked up this series though its only till CH 9, those interested look in novel updates.
Pacing wise it's OK besides that can't say much yet though I do see senin and harem tags in NU site I will wait and see if it's actually so.

He suddenly finds himself in a white world talking to a mysteirous ball of light. The ball of light is actually a powerful magician from another world. The main character is faced with the choice of normal death & rebirth or inheriting the magicians skills and being reincarnated with his memories in a new body created by the magician in the world of swords and magic that the magician lived. Soon after the main character wakes up in his new body he makes use of a summoning magic circle left in the house of the magician to summon a familiar and ends up summoning a Death Scythe and a Griffon. The death scythe acts a magic caster/melee weapon, and the Griffon, he names Seto, has similar to human intelliect and stays permanently summoned to accompany him on his adventurers in his new life. The main character is hetare, there's a primary female lead that has mutual interest in the MC, though the development is slow. There's some other female characters that have interest in the MC, though he doesn't show any interest and stays focused on the heroine for the most part. Does anyone actually keep up with this series to current? Spoiler for Current Spoilers: Most recent events with MC vs S rank adventurer have been pretty fun. He finally learned to go out of his box of magic after losing in a 1v1 fight. The MC has tons of mana, but he actually really sucks at being a magician(magic warrior). All of his magic is based on knowledge he was "given", nothing he had to work for... He's basically a full on melee character, who was given free fire magics. Hopefully with this the MC finally starts working to improve himself on the magic/mana end rather than just depending entirely on the knowledge he was given. Also seems like the assassins who are trying to kill him might end up trying to kidnap Vihera to use against Rei or something. If that happens it could cause some major events on the civil war end. With all the ominous hints the author has put in previous chapters, it feels almost like they're going to do that, and thus Rei will end up unleashing some fire twisters on the capital or something series of events... __________________

Spoiler for +: I can't wait until Seto sees him use the Conquerer's Armor as he tries to learn it... Seto will probably mimic it and use it perfectly in like an instant.
