Seriously speaking? I would recommand you skip the light novels and work on Legend and Crusade first. I really find them to be better then Chrome Shell.

Seriously speaking I don't, so you may do whatever you like Blewin, I just appreciate you doing the translation.

I think CSR well enough for us...Leave the translation of the other two novels to another eager translator in the future. I think if LoR or RC is as good as some ppl saying then it's only a matter of time(and popularity).

If my interest in CSR is still as strong when I catch up to the latest CSR vol, I might work on Legend and Crusade.

Vol 2 prologue and Ch 1 are up. Expect weekly to bi-weekly release for now.

Got a question for the novel readers. Has Layfon crossed the friendship line with any of the haremnettes? I believe I read where Leerin discovers that Mei loves Layfon so she backed off, or maybe it had to do with events happening between Saya/Ignasis/Dick. I just can't see him being so dense that he doesn't realize anything for what 13 novels...

Ask it in the spoiler thread.
The start of the next volume was a little bit less surprising than I expected.
Spoiler for vol 2 ch 1:

I expect some Naruki action next chapter.

Great job Blewin! But are you going to translate the Author's Notes?

Went over the rest of volume 1, finished editing the epilogue and chapter 6. Also translated the missing sentences.

Naruki action yay~!

Blewin. Have I ever told you that you are my hero? No...well you are.

Nothing brightens my day at work like a coffee and a new chapter to read!

Well that and the end of the day...

Amazing, just read the new chapters. It is interesting how different the novel is from the anime in subtle ways. Felli is a very interesting character and none of the shin kicking like in the anime.

oh well, long white hair with a weapon of pink petals. Short with an equally short temper but is beautiful like an ice sculpture... who wouldn't like Felli?

thanks. Great to hear people are enjoying the novels!

Thanks for the edits, Redlar! Great help as usual. As for the author's notes, I thought if I had time to do that, might as well spend the time translating more chapters....

lol didn't think Layfon was this badass in the novel! I enjoy how childlike his way of thinking is and his solution for solving every problem was just using force. So much different from the anime layfon who seems more peaceful.

Layfon - "it was a shame he couldn’t feel that soft touch.."

This thought right here throws Felli out the window. My boy Layfon likes an ample chest lol

Only Nina, Meishen and Leerin have the right sizes for him.

And Blewin thanks for the read!

Thanks for chapter 2 Blewin! I also thought the points you listed were really funny, especially when he thought they were asking for a 3-on-1 I like how the light novels explain the fight scenes in detail. The martial arts class fight and the data chips fight were awesome. Like you said, it's exciting how messed up Layfon's logic and personality is right now because that makes room for a lot of character development. Honestly though, I like the personality he has right now.

actually, Layfon's personality and upbringing isn't all that extraordinary. It's rather cliche. An orphan shouldering all the burdens to earn money in a harsh world. I suppose what makes it interesting in the extremely detailed inner thoughts that we don't get to see in an anime or manga.

About Layfon, I think he definitely has something against guys (conversely, more open to females).... he goes all soft in front of his female friends, listening to whatever they say and telling them his secrets when they press him. Sometimes, I wish the author would have given Layfon a male friend just to balance things out.

such is the life of our character surrounded by beautiful women and without the warmth of male companionship, I truly feel sorry for that guy..

felt sorry and envy plus irritation. All those blossoming flowers beside him and can't think of one
that his serious with. <<<<<<<maybe his turning gay.
and poor fellichan can't even try to compete with it comes to her body. But her looks are plenty
enough to stun layfon.... I think or maybe its still not enough because lafton doesn't have a
singular love cell within him. Or in the novel their is a point where we can say that lafton show
affection beyond a caring friend?

I don't know. Probably yes, because he showed signs of interest in women. He just has the guilty complex and he isn't actively seeking girls(he makes not a single move on any girls obviously, like most of the harem protagonists)

Hmm then can you still call that harem? I mean the girls are the one seeking and the guy is just their. Doing nothing but ubber coolness. I mean he shows sign but too little to even consider. I just feel sorry for the girls. But still layfon is lucky. But his dull nature ( not sure with the term) takes control of him, or not. ( really saito should learn one or two from layfon and layfon should learn something from saito. But not his perverse attitude )
