I'd personally find it to be rather cool if they pulled a Starship Troopers-esque scene where the class finds out that, yes, their mild mannered biology teacher really is that Welkin Gunther and yes, he really is that damned good at what he does during war.

Well, Welkin would likely be quiet about it, even as he goes,"This is what you guys should do."

Here's a few reasons why I have doubt about Alicia will not returning to the military :-

1.She hates her Valk Blood flowing inside her.

2.Too busy with her newborn.

3.Can't have her stealing the new chara's thunder.

I rather prefer you face some former comrades, especially those with the Anti-Drascen traits on the opposing side. And it will be best if we can see them as Boss Version of those Artificial Valks

How about he shouts to the students & says: "Alright you Homo sapiens! Who wants to live?"

You mean "Apes, do you want to live forever!?"

Personaly I'd rather Welkin and alicia don't make a return. Their story is wrapped up and it looked like they could finally live happily ever after at the end of the first game.

I'd rather see some of the side characters return though.
For instance, if the old drill sergeant is responsible for the outfits, who else can take over the training other than Jane?
And since there's a war going on Musaad will be attracted like a bear on honey.
The old Darcsen haters returning as opponents (or Darcsens as protagonists) is likley, although knowing those character's epilogue it's a bit hard for some.

If Gallia is in really bad shape, then yes, the couple will return. Without a country, there cannot be a home.

Due to the lack of Marina action in the anime, I demand her return!

Who knows?

And yeah Red Eyes. I really enjoyed it. Especially how the story went.

same here, a shame Jane will most likely be back...but not playable... didn't her ending say she took over drill officer?
lf so then.....that's very depressing

Speaking of alicia....didn't at the end of the promo video of the game you see a figure with her type of hairstyle appear in the logo?

"Those who don't own Sakura Wars, Shinobi and Skies of Arcadia, leave."

Holy crap, did Hitler just read my mind? Well, ok, I don't own Sakura Wars, but I definitely have the last two.

So much truth all in one monologue, and I definitely agree with Yakuza 3 and Shenmue fucking 3! What the hell Sega?!

On a more serious note, Downfall (Der Untergang) is a pretty good movie. I was able to watch it during a plane trip a few years ago.

It's quite possible, since the 80,000 regular army Gallia has is probably all but gone by the end of the first war...ya know with selvaria..which why they have to retrain a whole new generation of soldiers. And most of the militia probably retired by the end of the war. (Not a bad thing, consider the old culture in the army) probably the reason why the rebellion got so big...

I loled at the mention of Gallia have a Tiger chasis version the Sherman calliope..ahhh yea..this is going to be fun, throw in a couple Italian and French model too.

You know what would be a pretty awesome plotline?

If you have no other choice but to lose the war in VC2, to set things up for a WW2 scenario where anti-darcsen Gallia has gone on a rampage of conquest using its artificial Valkyrias and Edelweiss clones.

Then we get VC3 which is about putting a matured Cordelia back on her throne and stoping the new and powerful Gallian Empire. =D

How about branching storylines and branching missions depending on different outcomes and choices with more than one ending to boot? Something like Front Mission 3 or 4?

The PSP might not be the best system for such an ambitious game though. That, and issues of continuity would be a hassle and would have to be addressed before making succeeding sequels.

...And then have a specific superpower from the other side of the Atlantic come join in?
