The first arc here will be easier to follow since it's pretty linear for the most part, but as Dorkington Pugsly said "multi-character perspectives, one narrative" are stylistic characteristic of Nartia's writing. Not only that but Durarara is partly a mystery series which is further empathized by this by this writing. If you have any difficulty keeping up with events in the plot then this what this forum is for, a place to discuss that with minimal to no spoilers of course.

At the very least, I look forward to dense story telling and fast pacing. It is pretty obvious they are planning to finish the entire book series in order to promote the sales of their novel sequel, and as such they aren't going to have time to waste. As long as they don't cut too much, it is always good to go dense than sparse.

After so long it's finally baaack!!
Celty being chased... again ^^ Damn, how I missed this anime! So life is same old-same old in Ikebukuro. That Yuhei seems like an interesting guy. Damn, this anime is never boring! Totally watching it.

Really wish Celty were a little less tsun tsun and a lot more stoic and scary, which befits her myth. But I will admit that I enjoy and root for the headless Dullahan and the loco scientist couple more than any other pairing. My blessings are with them.
Anyway, wake me up when Shizuo goes on a rampage and Izaya starts scheming again. As far as I'm concerned, they're easily the best part of the show. Seriously, they could either tear down or rule Tokyo if they teamed up, but I guess that will never happen cause they get along like gunpowder and matches. |

Not as explosive as our first introduction to the anime back then, but it did the job, and my god, Celty is as adorable as always. Miyuki Sawashiro is still one of the best.
The parts with good ol' Mikado and Anri were slow as hell, but that's the idea. It's basically Mikado's way of going "everything is ok and will stay that way... right?" Now to see how big the NOPE the world slaps him with will be (Not spoiling anything, it's just the impression I got). Also, I must mention: -Loli! With the most yakuza looking dude I've ever seen! Oh boy, can't wait for people to start hating the series for this one reason only. -Goddammit, Miyuki. What are you doing in the cool crew's van? -Kadota summarizes the viewpoint of all Index fans in a single sentence. -New Index comes out in two months? ...whoa Now, that's meta. I think? -HOLY...! It's two months exact! -While watching the episode, I failed to notice the thing in Emilia's head was a mask like Shingen's. I feel dumb. -On a related subject, we got a whole crazy family now! And the parents love to tease Celty. Beautiful -That preview. Kururi and Maiko will be something to look our for, I know it. |

So Dotachin's an Index fan? Woot! Convert...wait...
Comes out in two months...geez...Requiem-x is right. Two months exact from the release of the episode. Craycray~ But that Miyuki door.....aaagrhgshdgg~~~ Gonna take a while to get used to the voices since I am a bit too used to the dub voices. Good episode and a really nice callback to the first season.

Seeing DRRR again only reminded me of how much I miss Baccano, although I wouldn't have even seen Baccano if not for that DRRR s1 episode where it was shown that it was the Dollars' website password.
Anyway, it was certainly good to see everyone again, and then some new characters, although Celty won't be able to even leave the house at this rate. |

Half year later Celty still continues her eternal battle with the local law enforcement.
Oh and this what you signed for.... Good Luck! I had also forgotten how of antithesis Shizuo is of Kasuka and I mean literally:
Yet no Cain and Abel scenario occurs at all, in fact they get along extremely well despite being such polar opposites. Makes wonder what their parents think raise such totally different people. In anycase, that was fun premiere and solid semi-reintroduction. Yeah not exact an "BOOM" like opener, but never been a series that lays all it's cards at once. Still highly enjoyable it even just on interactions alone, so that good enough for me. EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the OP was lot better than thought once the anime sequence accompanied it. Not quite season 1 tier, but pretty good. Ed is pretty decent.
