Fortunately, growing up I was taught about all the various kinds of legal US currency. Common and uncommon.

It is those three dollar bills you got to watch for though.

That and the three cent nickel.

And look out for these....they are worth more than they say.

Good lord, has the $2 bill become that rare? Or have people become that stupid? A little from column A, and a little from column B, I'll assume. Good thing people like me keep preserving that stuff. I have like, five $2 bills, and I sorta treat them as collectible in a sense.

Perhaps the ironic thing is that I hide them inside a book about Communism. Nobody will think to look for money in there, right?

Almost no one uses the $2 bill. There is no spot for it in the register, so stores usually don't see one becaues there is no reason to have them. If a clerk sees one (and knows what it is) they usually swipe it and replace it with two of their own dollar bills.

Yep, almost any and all existing $2 bills are being held by collectors. I have four of them myself. They are so little used it's no wonder kids of today don't believe they're real.

There were a lot issued for so many not to be in use. But then a bunch are probably sitting in banks...just in case someone asks for them.
