Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Sounds like the work of Anon to me. 150 people hacking into the same place sounds like an organized plot at any rate.

When I read "amazon" my I thought it was the site. The reporter went to their installations and had to strip search.

Actually.. yeah. Guy is apparently a drifter, needed to clean up - intended to break in, clean up, probably eat a bit and do some petty theft to get by. Homeowner come home and he's in the shower panicking because he's got no intention of hurting anyone and is scared she might have a gun. So he dials 911. And SHE dials 911. and the dispatchers have them both on the line.

Of course, he doesn't show up for the court hearing (he's a drifter, duh).

Vending the rules: 25 weird, wild vending machines

"Who says you need customer service when purchasing a luxury vehicle, a gold
bar, a freshly made pizza or a live hairy crab? Strange as it may seem, you can
buy all of these items and more straight from vending machines."

2 thoughts occur to me on the crabs

1. how do you prove the crab wasn't alive to get a refund.

2. in the US, the crab vending machine is injury lawyer's dream come true.

Actor Charlie Sheen has filed a $100m (£62m) legal action against the makers of Two and a Half Men after being fired from the US sitcom.

Okay, what's wrong with Charlie? He needs serious rehab. Now!

Consumers play blame game as gasoline nears $4

Quote:
So, all told, who’s really to blame? “Everybody!” said St. John’s University’s Sabino.

Market traders panic and drive up prices for no good reason. Oil companies take in as much profit as they can. Refiners, middlemen, retailers try to make every penny they can,” he said. “Governments profit enormously off the hidden taxes and consumers will not conserve.

“Americans insist on driving bigger cars than they need and driving when they could use mass transit,” he said. “We all share the blame.”

I would say Americans like freedom of movement that is not quite provided by mass transit. Also the idea that time is money and the extra hour or so mass transit can put on your trip at times makes that clear...depending on if that is not countered by the cost of movement via car.
