Well, that's the problem. PT is antagonist, but I still can not think of convincing motive other than they want to seize as much I.S. as they can, but cannot due to the power limit.

This is what I have in mind
1. They stole I.S. not only because of cores, but technology. SO they can apply the technology to their mass-produced model.
2. they also not above using forbidden/weird technology, such as VT system and nanomachines.
3. They're spreading their influence to countries, especially those that does not posses I.S. core at all.
4. They marked various people as huge threat, namely; Tabane, Iori, Chifuyu, and finally: the twins. Later, they also blacklisted Josh ("the wrench man")

Does sparing regularly with your GF count as sadomasochist?

What is their ultimate goal? In Shadow, it's split into factions. Some of them aren't in PT, but since them jacking the IS hurts the other country, they support them. Others want to take over the world, and others are just axe crazy.

Not unless you tie your GF up and don't let her fight back.
