Odd thing while watching the 3ed episode
they call CVN 77 the G W Bush when it's only recently been named after his Father
G H W Bush

just me being nitpicky odds are Gainax justed named it after him to be scarcastic

Well a good, happy ending, i think this is the first anno anime i've ever seen a real ending too.
Funny thing is the SeaHawk is misnamed, Missile Subs are named after states, while attack subs would have a name like Seahawk. For instance the SSN Seawolf is an attack sub ment to kill things IN the water, while the SSBN Ohio is ment to kill things on land.

Yeah, and its the third time a US nuke hits Japan. It makes perfect sense.

But, when someone who isn't studing to be a millitary histroian watches this they will just see a bit of warpped gainax humor.
