Well Infinite Stratos actually has lots of possibility to become a even more awesome Light Novel.


Good:
-Academy style story
-Mecha plot story(Well more like battle suit though.....)
-World wide scale story
-Harem
-Charlotte
-A evil organization
-Possibility of evolution of the IS
-The IS creator(Houki's sister) possibly plotting something serious
-Lots of parody of Gundam!


Bad:
-Orimura Ichika
-Over use of matches being interfered


Anyway there are more good points then the bad points. But the two bad points actually lowered the LN more than it should. The only way for IS to get good is either kill Ichika or make him lose his memory so he gets a different personality. Maybe it might happen........I hope.

Maybe a good start would be making him realize that the girls have feelings for him. Awareness might ease up on his denseness a bit.

Even if he didn't realize the girls had feelings for him, he just needs to be more pro-active and rely less on luck. So far he's won by sheer luck 9/10 times and pretty much stares at the wall drooling whenever something plot significant happens.

His actions after Madoka's attack in particular show he's really damn lazy and makes no effort to find info unless it's shoved in his face.

I even have a theory that she's Phantom Task's leader and infiltrating the school was all part of her elaborate plan to get close to both Ichika and Tatenashi before striking them at their weakest.

Here is something else Tabane is only intrested in 3 people 1 her best friend and her little brother and her own little sister right. Well her parents are.....eh.

If there came a day she wanted to have kids of her own the onyly person she can use to "make them" would be Ichika.
Or she just adopt like that girl at the end of volume 7.

Adoption works. Just cause she doesn't care about other people now doesn't mean she can't form new relationships.
