Of Kaguya? Or Sangatsu? Because I know the latter was true.

I won't mind seeing tilted heads of Kaguya, Prez and Co. so SHAFT would be my pick.

I am assuming we won't see Iino in the anime because she is introduced so late in the story. My guess is it will cover the fireworks at the very least and have its rating skyrocket for anime only viewers. I fell in love with it ever since that moment.

The fireworks would be a good closure point, indeed. However, I wonder if it can be reached in 1-cour, assuming it's only one. The first 3 chapters could make the pilot episode, and from there, 4 chapters per episode is required to reach it, if they don't intend to skip anything. Not sure if a fast pacing like that fits Kaguya, but then again, I thought Golden Kamuy was gonna be slow with all that detail, yet it's constantly adapts 5 chapters per episode, albeit skipping some stuff here and there.

The perks of being something without a true plot is that they could probably skip some stuff without any problems, even rearrange it sometimes, if they want to reach a certain point

I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to introduce earlier some popular characters.

Well, half of the chapters are really standalone and don't really add much to the overall progression of the character dynamics, their developments and so on so those might get skipped to reach a certain point and then get revisited if the anime becomes successful and a sequel is green lit.

We are discussing a point in the story which separates the fans' overall impression about the story from a 6 or 7/10 to a 9 or 10/10 if you know what I mean.

There's no way they cannot animate the fireworks because that is when the manga really became a story of adoration for many fans both in Japan and the outside.

It marks the most important point of the story thus far
Spoiler:

For the anime to become successful and become a splendid advertisement for the manga, they HAVE to animate it.

With "best selection", they have to keep the mini arcs/chapters with continuity, chapters that references earlier events (earlier event + the chapter the references it), recurring joke chapters like "Prez training", plus subjective fun chapters (WIENER!), and at last the essential fireworks.

YESSSS!!!

I'm a huge fan of this series, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it animated.

If it's Shaft, they'll no doubt combine the head tilt with one of the series' most well known lines. Looking forward to seeing how that turns out

I don't want Shaft. I'm not as allergic to them as Guardian Enzo is but as far as I'm concerned I think the Shaft style only really works for the avante-garde surreal/bizarro stories like the Monogatari Series and Madoka Magica. For everything else I've found it a mixed bag. Kaguya-sama: Love is War is just a straight forward comedy (romcom?) and I don't find the Shaft style fitting at all for such stories. There's no need to be fancy with it. It'll only be a distraction.

I don't particularly like SHAFT either, but classic rom-com production wouldn't do justice to Kaguya, it needs to get proper dramatic horror feels and lot of ham. SHAFT should be able do job. Probably.

Well, 3-gatsu changed my opinion about SHAFT for the better. I think they will be able to do a proper job on this. But that's just speculations. Nothing is decided yet but I hope this get great staff working on it because it deserves it. Sometimes a studio can really surprise you. I wasn't sure about 3-gatsu or Koe no Katachi for examples but I was proved wrong.

Kaguya-sama wants to be confessed to chapter 110, in which a favorite manga of the main characters' gets an anime adaptation, referencing Kaguya's own adaptation announcement. In it, one of the characters quotes Hanekawa from Bakemonogatari. Knowing Aka, this is hinting SHAFT.

Author hints at shaft if any of you guys want source. I heard it from someone and couldn't get a source earlier but it popped up again.

I think SHAFT will do a good job with this one, really enjoyed what I've read of the manga.
