Where did you read about it being 13 episodes? because so far we still don't have any official information about how many episodes this series will have.

Anyway, like Nachtwandler and dasvik mentioned, this series is supposed to cover all the remaining LNs and finish the main story or at least that's what Shoji Gatoh said when they announced the series and a couple times after that, I mean that's the only logical reason of why they skipped DVMC and turned it into a Audio Drama, to not "waste" episodes so they can finish the story.

It is now March, meaning FMP! Invisible Victory will premiere next month! The wait is almost over.

ahahaha yessss.. I'm darn glad they didn't replace Michiko Neya with other seiyuu. Quite sad she's not getting any roles these days.

I can't read Japanese, but a guy on the ANN forums says that the links below show that episodes 1-4 are still covering COMO and 5 is the start of BOMF:

5-7:

So I guess we'll get this and then wait another 12 years for FMP!V...

They're skipping the cruise ship story and going straight to the latter. The DVMC novel was previously adapted into a 12 part audio drama. It'll be released with the Japanese DVDs/Blu-rays of Invisible Victory.

Well, they're showing Laevatein there, and it has also been showed in various other places, so it seems safe to assume we'll get to TMMD at least, since Laeva only shows up there.

On the other hand, 12 years wait for 12 eps... seems legit, right?

I'm going to guess that we are going probably to see until Approaching Nick of Time (although it is a bit streching it for me) and then they will announce a movie with the adaptation of the two parts of Always stand by me

That, or a second season, assuming they don't adapt side stories (and knowing they skipped DVMC...)

Running the page for that third Box Set through google translate indicates it includes #5 & #6 of an audio drama. If that's parts five and six of the twelve part DVMC audio drama Mugen26 was referring to, that suggests the series will be getting another three box sets in the future.

Speculation: maybe they're going to air half the series in the Spring, take a break over the Summer, and finish it in the Fall. That sort of approach has been used by several shows over the last few years.
