I always respect the MC that doesn't have lewd thoughts for every female character he encountered and actually treating female characters as a friend/comrade/colleague, not a sex object like every raging rapist from other LN/WN.

^That's not the problem. Partner/friend relationship is great, but when the girl is clearly in love and the MC just acts like he doesn't notice anything (when he does), then that's clearly unfair and rude to the girl. You need to tell them straight.

What nonsense that you are talking about? Unfair? So you think the MC should love the girl back because the girl like him, and confess to him? Do you ever reject people in the real life? It makes the whole things feel so awkward especially when the girl working in the same office with you. Most of the MC is smart enough to maintain the status quo because he was either not ready to pursuit relationship or he knew that once the confession scene has happened, the dynamic in their group will change forever. I am pretty sure that Oregairu Yahari showed that part pretty well.

Never said that the MC was the main reason that Death March is the trash. It is the premise. I read the manga and almost got myself vomit. Then I tried to convince myself that the manga doesn't do the justice, so I went to download the anime, and I deleted it after the viewing and never look back.

Most of the time, the one in the wrong is the author to make all the girls fall for the MC. (speaking generally, not just this novel) I would love to see true partner relationships more often than the girls liking the guy one sidedly.

Maybe because those writers are a bunch of virgins or never in a real relationship. They think the idea of having many women flock on one guy is fun. Marrying more than 10 girls would be ultimate bliss, when in the real life, having a relationship with 2 girls at the same time would have mortally wounded your physical, wallet and mental.
