Max is definetelly the best. BUt it's hard to vote for further places for me personally.

For example, Isamu has a skill but I utterly hate his personality. And I have a hard time comparing skills of characters like Alto, Millia, Klan-Klan, Messer, Gamlin, etc.

Well, I specifically said "favorite", because I didn't want to make it about skill alone. Max always has been my favorite in terms of personality as well as skill, and so on.

Sheryl Nome, of course. 36 seconds in the cockpit. 0 kills. 1 lost aircraft. And a massively popular, galaxy-spanning music career. What more could you ask for?!

This is why I pointed out that some characters are great pilots but I don't like them as people (both Plus MCs, for example). I like Max overall also, no wonder he is sort of a series mascot now.

Will probably add Kanaria Bernstein from Frontier for being the actual "mauve shirt" among Konig monster pilots in the franchise.
