...An alternative to IS cores is a machine with baryonic decay reactors + 2 human brains fully dedicated to running the systems of the machine. The pilot interfaces with the brains via neural linking and is the dominant mind over everything else.

THe machine would probably be larger than an IS though considering it's physically hosting 2 human brains.

It really depends on the storage technology. MGR for example can actually construct head sized brain storage, instead of big tank full of liquid.

Would be hilarious if it's named Cerberus

Remind me again why the heck sjould we housed the brains on an IS itself? Why the heck not making a seperate body for the brain, or one of them stay in another place.

Anyone here still play The World End With You? Just get my hand on a Live Remix version.

Because human brains are actually cheap high powered computers? Sure the preservation technology might not be easy but there are ways to keep them alive and working in a stable environment without too much investment.

Because you need to handle wireless bandwith which require tons of hardware that if disabled the remote brain will be rendered useless anyway.

Demino, Remember Kamen Rider G4?

Anyway, what about the problem of regconition? I mean, an IS is a machine, not fleash and blood. Thus, there is always the chance of insane or suicide.

True

At minimum, it won't be able to self maintain and self repair, making the logistic value horrible.

Well, the problem would be solved if we use non-human brains. Remind me of that Monkey Zaku piloted by Apes in Crossbone Gundam. Or, you could turned human into Orphenoch and then extracted the brain.

But the idea is that the brain recognizes the frame as its own body, and thus works like it's a living organism on its own. Two brains are used so the cumulative calculation ability isn't enough to allow autonomous movement.

The brains themselves are most likely sentient but limiting their conscious calculation ability and just taking up subconscious processes should be good enough. They'd be an ass to the pilot though.

Theory on why Ichika is so dumb:
-Tabane cut out a piece of Ichika's brain and cloned it then cultured the clones to be the core of the IS. She took all the good parts.

No, Tabane is the fool here. Why the heck couldn't she used his genes to construct Cyber Newtypes - all women, by the way.

oh so just another day on the internet.

Also, that's less an opinion and more a declaration of will. An opinion would be more like:

"I think all humans should die."

"I believe the world should end."

"I feel no sentient bipedal creature on this earth deserves life."

either way I doubt I'd actually work on the crossover. The idea may sound awesome but the thought of crossing them over leaves a certain doubt in me in how the two fit. It would be funny to have Lotus talk into Ichika's head though.
Remind me again, Lotus is the floating Advisor frame right? That means Maya talking directly into Ichika's head, right?

If so, good, we thus share the same delusion.
