Could anyone tell me the approximate length of the single player mode?

I'm hoping it's longer, I beat Portal 1 in 3 hours.

^ Saw IGN's review and they said the single player and co-op will last about 10-12 hours each

Ugh... I saw someone's gameplay footage and spoiled myself a bit. Looks as amazing as the trailer footage. I need to keep myself away from youtube until I can get home to my gaming pc Saturday.

I think it would take twice the time you solve the first game, depending on how fast you are with the original. The game is essentially in two parts; the classic gameplay, and the new gel floors.

It took me thirteen hours to do the single player but I got stuck a lot on some of the puzzles.

CRY FOR THE MOON!!!!!!!!

*ehem*

And yes, the game timer is bugged to hell. I've been playing nonstop for 7 hours now to completion, and yet Steam only logs my gameplay time as 32 minutes

Ugh. I want to get this game so badly. It's getting top reviews across the board, and I've been waiting for it since I finished Portal years ago... but it's also $50 and I just put a gigantic, yearly charge on my credit card... and I have no paying internship for the summer yet...

Why!?!? >_<

That climax was just one of the most over-the-top silliest things I've ever seen, even by Portal's usual silly standards. xD

This game took me 10 hours to get through this time. Much longer. Good on ya Valve.~

Now I just need to find someone to play co-op with.~

Maybe they wanted to use Portal 2 to set up a plot point for Half-Life 2 . 3. They are the same universe.

Had to stop playing after I realized it was 4 o'clock in the morning.
I didn't thought I would be so hooked again, made me remember how much I liked the first game.
And I really missed that old AI.

I find Cave Johnson's lines to be more amusing than GLaDOS's old lines.
