Hey everyone. A bit off topic, so I apologize.

Just recieved Fate/UBW/HF in the mail, ordered import. Unfortunately, I can't speak (Maybe a few words) or read Japanese. I'm just a collector, and it's about damn time I learn the language!

Posted a thread in the General Discussion section about this (So this thread doesn't get flooded with off topic discussions about this, please post in the GD), and since I know quite a few of you in here speak Japanese and can read it as well, I would love to get your input in how to start up learning it.

Well, to be able to grasp Japanese that is used in the game novel, you need at least 3 years of intensive Japanese.

Time I'm willing to put forth, my friend.

Why learn a language half-assed? If it takes 3 years to understand the game, then I'll study 3 years, and learn the language! (Maybe I'm just stubborn). Besides, it'll always benefit me in the end.

Good luck then. The writer of TYPE-MOON games loves to use old Japanese which compounded the problem.

You can play the game while reading my Fate/UBW translation. Apart from a few edits, the game and novel follows the same plot.

I just got Hollow Ataraxia and installed it. I don't know how to read Japanese so I used the AGTH to read Stay Night but, when I try to use it on HA with the [User Hook] thing appears it doesn't read it... The only way I found to translate was using it directly from the GetOutlinedTextW thing and I have to copy and paste and delete the repeated characters. Can someone help me????

For op without subs: Just downlaod the raw and rip it out.

To johnishida: unfortunately that's your only solution. Fate/HA is 0% translated by all groups I know.
However Fate/Stay Night English is complete. UBW and HF are not completed. Novel translation of both of them will be released by me, which follows the game plot.

Gah! I tried the AGTH forums... They did have tha same problem that I have with Hollow Atarxia but, the said such complicated things about the AGTH that I got all confused and didn't find an answer!

Danj, you posted the AGTH worked with both FSN and FHA... If you got it working with FHA can you please tell me who you did it?

Indeed, but you have to recognize this particular fact: Nasu loved using old Japanese words, even those the Japanese are unaccustomed to. A non-Japanese speaker would even have a harder time brushing up his Japanese just to read up on Fate/Stay Night.

But, I commend your actions, and hope that you do well!

Set game to very easy, pick caster and keep getting perfects. I believe you need to beat 3 people in a row without getting hit or something like that.

I have trouble using Caster...her combo really needs timing(but they all look reeeal cool...)
I managed to get Hasan with Archer. Straight perfect win so I don't know how many perfect scores you need to get him.

To get Hasan, I put it on the lowest hp% I could and made the rounds 1/1. Casters laser beam things do 1-2 hit kills. Very easy to win doing it like that. After 3 wins you will fight Hasan and you just need to beat him, then quit and he'll be selectable.

btw, at 5 squares and fatal, Archer is just wtfrigged...blocking is the absolute most BS piece of crap I've seen in the game, and then comes the parry=>throw BS that the computer can execute so well that I have no idea how to time.
