I was pretty disappointed the character vocied by Sugita turned out to be fodder. Then again, it seems like everyone is fodder in front of Oga.

The Alaindeon self-introduction was funnier in the manga but this is also good. Art looks better in this episode than the previous 2 so that's great. They expanded the Kanzaki 'fight' a little, coz he didn't stand a flying chance in the manga.

I know this been said many times but im starting too hate the lighting blast joke. Baby reminds me of Pikachu from pokemon... manga they didnt overdo the lighting thing wish the anime didnt either.

I can understand people saying this for the first two episodes, though the lightning was not overused at all in the third episode. It could have been as we seen in the second episode, though it wasn't at all.

Its not that its overuse.. it just I f feels kinda like it ruins the pace of the anime verison for me. I hope maybe they stop over using it in future ep.

So, I made the mistake of watching the OVA. Now, it's pretty obvious the TV show is the OVA spread out over many episodes with much filler in-between his fights as he searches for the "strongest one".

It was an entertaining OVA, but as a tv show, the crying-as-a-joke stops being funny really, really fast.

The lightning wasn't exactly overused in the third episode, but coming off the tail of episode 2 it should been intentionally underused to balance it out until it's funny again. It's not even really a joke anymore, it's just something that happens in between jokes. And that's a bad thing. I know seeing it happen twice early on in the episode was enough to ruin my mood.

Personally i just think you people are overreacting over a bit of lightning, but ah well.

Basically its a very lazy form of humor (slapstick) that isn't even being used in varying ways. They're telling the same simple joke over and over again with no twists just to fill up time. It doesn't give me a very good impression of the skill of the writers. While the series is very capable of being clever and funny, filling in all the other moments with pointless timekilling just drags the whole thing down.

That's the thing, these people are talking about it in episode three, where it happens for story purpose, and not a joke.

eps 3 is not as funny as the previous ones, but the big guy and Furuichi are outstanding when together

Episode 3 really din't have that much elements with it then the previous one. But it came out in the end Especially with what klare said about the big guy and Furuichi the house scene similar to Tatsumi's scene with Hildegarde.

So the annual peeing leads to massive floods that destroy cities. No that is an attack only a baby could have.

So was Hilda angry at Furuichi for calling her job a job? So the Demon Lord wants Hilda to be baby Beel's mom. She should have realized that the robber was useless. I found it strange that she would agree to hand over baby Beel to them.

Oga was so close to getting rid of baby Beel, but i guess he's growing on him. I guess he didn't like the fact that the guy would ditch him. Also he was actually weak. Also nice save by Oga at the end. I guess Hilda's starting to think he's the right choice

I thought episode 4 was quite funny, especially the explanations by the bank robbers of how much of a badass they were. The urine thing was... quite funny.

Next episode gets back to Oga beating the crap out of people again I hope.

When I first heard Oga speak I thought I recognised his voice from another show. When I checked who it was I thought the show got infinitely better. Now all I can see whenever Oga is on screen is:

Baby Beel could drown humanity in his urine, huh... a scary prospect. That's the kind of absurd suff I like, therefore I very much enjoyed this episode. Oga and the others are lucky his urine is totally clean (which isn't very logical considering he's a demon, but ah well~). Alain's got a daughter? I wonder what she looks like. Either she's a beauty or she looks exactly like him (mustache and all).
