Their okatanas resonated with each other when they got close, startling both girls. In the episode you can hear an odd ringing sound, like a single note being played on a flute, although realizing that the sound is actually something in the world and not just a sound-effect played for the audience's benefit can be more difficult.

I think beucase of Yukari is a Aradama so some of her presense/power leak out so....

maybe cause the "head" (evil villain?) somehow reminds me of the evil mother in Kill la Kill

And the 2 girls reminds me of the main girl + sidekick girl. (yea, I forgot all of their names...)

This sort of give me the Kill la Kill vibes too... head of origami family reminds me of Satsuki Kiryuin instead of the evil mother. Actually this show reminds me of other chracaters.. Hiyori feels like Akemi Homura from Madoka.. and lastly, the english speaking girl with large chest is voiced by the seiyuu of Kongou from Kancolle.

What an annoying character that Yukina is, all throughout this episode.

That pet, It went straight after her chest, what a perverted little critter.

There's a "secret group" that's moving in the shadows. This includes President Ema Hashima of Minoseki Academy and Rui Onda, an acquaintance of Hashima and a database engineer. For some reason, this secret group is stalling the fugitive situation the same way as the Origami Family: make sure the fugitives are tracked down WITHOUT resorting to greater powers to take them back by force. Renpu also seems fishy, using mind control to make Toji do what amounts to an assassination mission.

The intrigue is high and the plot is concise. Just the way I like it.

There are guesses around the internet that it might be her mother's spirit bound to the sword. Other theories suggest it may be something related to the aradama, on the guess that perhaps all the toji are connected to, linked with, descended from, related to, or in some other way associated with the aradama in some way that the girls are unaware of.

I don't think it is wise to repeatly show bath scene

My opinion:
- The ep is average, give some info about the main villian. Show us another bitch named Yukina
- Fight scene is well done, but sadly it short
- Sayaka(the silver-haired girl) look like being possessed by her own sword, because she still fast when Utshushi, and she get back normal when Kanami knock her sword out of her hand. Well i think she is a talent but weak-minded girl
- Look like there are more from the shadow, a group that know the secret of Origami clan and seeking Hiyori and Kanami and support them from behind

Look like Minoseki Academy's president is secretly helping Kanami and Hiyori. Does this mean she want to take down Yukari too? or she helps them because she's interesting in what Yukari talked about Chidori and Kogarasumaru swords?

The school with the longest history in Gokaden, its Toji are respected by the people in the area. Is permitted to become the temporary HQ of the Special Sword Administration in case of emergency. Alma mater of Konohana Suzuka and Tsubakuro Yume.

Osafune Girls' Academy - One of the Gokaden schools, located in Okayama. Charged with dispatching the Aradama in Chuugoku, Kyuushu and Okinawa. Since the facility that develops the latest equipment is under the jurisdiction of Osafune, they actively participate in tests of newly created prototypes. Mashiko Kaoru and Kohagura Elen are students of it.

Elite Guards

Shido Maki - holder of the first seat of the Origami family’s elite guards and the winner of two consecutive sword fighting championships.

Korehana Suzuka - holder of the second seat of the Origami family’s elite guards. She views Maki, who beat her twice in the tournament, as her rival.

Yomi Satsuki - the third seat in the Origami family guards. She restrains herself more than any of the guards, especially at Yukari Origami's side. She usually doesn't express her emotions on the surface, and she will not have conversation more than necessary. She is different from Maki and Suzuka with their brilliant achievements. So far, she has not had achievements that stand out, so her abilities are unknown. She is a Toji wrapped in many mysteries.

Yume Tsubakuro (燕結芽 Tsubakuro Yume?) is the fourth-seat member of the Origami Family Elite Guard and an alumna of Ayanokouji Martial Arts School.

Swordsmanship Style: Ten'nen Rishin-Ryu (天然理心流?) A style whose strength manifests more in actual combat than in the use of shinai matches. This style adopts kenpo techniques compiled during the Shinsengumi period, and stresses the importance of confirming kills.

I wouldn't say Hiyori is useless, but she's not nearly as strong as episode 1 made her out to be. Kanami is in a totally different league.

Animation is so-so, to say the least, but I do appreciate the runaway rebels plot is being taken seriously, and judging from the preview, that trend will continue, so I can't say I didn like it. One question, though

I do think Kanami winning by using her free hand as much as her sword is pretty cool. You don't see that very often with sword wielders, even in anime (Rather, I haven't).

In a surprise twist, the rival is the one who needs to grow to have a proper match with the hero. I can buy it.

With Sora yori and this, now we have two supposed serious business girls turning out to be not what they seem at first. That said, Hiyori is still pretty much within the archetype. Shirase, on the other hand...

Kanami trains even when sleeping and is already so much skilled. It's not possible for Hiyori to catch up. Also they don't even have a true rival dynamic. Hiyori is more of a sidekick than anything.

That's ironic considering Hiyori is the one who started all of this. One more thing in common with Sora Yori, I'd say.

Kanami certainly seems to look at her as a rival, but then again, seeing what happened with Sayaka, maybe she does that with everyone

Shirase's character is saved by having good chemistry with characters other than Mari. Her little moment with Hinata on the train was the highlight of the episode for me, for example.

Unfortunately Hiyori seems stuck playing sidekick to Kanami for the majority of the show.

So Aradamas can be pets as well? Thought they could only be monsters you have to kill and colelct their Noro. Kanami is a really skilled sword fighter, I kinda wanna see her lose for once. Especially since thanks to their battle form it is not lethal, so it is fine if she were to lose once or twice. Looks like Kanami and Hiyori are not the only rebels, perhaps it is even known by quite many in the top brass that their heroine is an Aradama but they put up with it because they need her power for this whole thing to work properly?

Well, even Mai (a defensive Toji) said that all that's great about Hiyori is speed. This episode demonstrates this. An all-rounder like Sayaka can use minimal amounts of Jin'i to counteract Hiyori's massive bursts of Jin'i, and Mai was certain that all the speed is worthless if you cannot find an opening. Yukari also exposes Hiyori's weakness, mocking her "ichi no tachi" (literally "the one strike") by blocking it.

So far, Hiyori's fighting style relies on huge amounts of speed to quickly finish off opponents, and is heavily disadvantaged against high-strength, high-defense, or high-expertise opponents, and she has to play smarter or else she won't beat anyone with her current style of combat.
