I'm curious. This might have been answered but where could I buy French manga from and have it shipped in the US for a reasonable price? The only website that I've heard of is Renaud-Bray but I'm not sure if they will ship in the US. Does anyone know ><?

Well, there is www.amazon.fr of course, but at 9 euro per shipment + 1.90 euro per item shipping (to US), that may not be quite so cheap. Hell, the other way around (European ordering from Amazon US) is cheaper.
I've now clue if its any help, but they of course also speak French in Quebec. Maybe some Canadian online shop also carries French manga? Then again due to licensing issues they might not... |

Im suprised i havent seen Cd japan on the list.
They do almost all the Manga and light novels you need and shipping worldwide is cheapest ive found. Plus you can pick up whole sets at cd-japan here for a nice price. Suppose only downside is if you cant read japanese Also if you cant find anything on their english site (Cd japan) check out their Japanese site (neowing) and if its on their you can email them requesting it. Hope this helps

The sets themselves are reasonably priced, but the shipping is outrageous. I selected one on a whim and 1) It only gave me Fedex and EMS as shipping options (lol Europe) and 2) The shipping charge was 10540 yen for EMS and 8800 yen for Fedex, all for a set that cost 9152 yen. Riiiight... If they offered SAL to European buyers that'd be great.

Japanese language manga question
Hi everyone!
I live in Japan and can get Japanese manga (sometimes at a discount) from Book Off and other book stores. However, it seems like there isn't much interest in the Japanese language editions. Am I wrong? Most of the stores listed in the "where to buy" sticky only offer English editions. Is there any interest in the Japanese editions? |

After staring at the post for a few minutes...I think Alcibiades is talking about the Where to Buy thread in the manga section.
In which case, duh. It's a thread made for people in other parts of the world who want to find manga that they can't find. People in Japan don't need to go to the Internet to get a clue where to find manga. They walk to the nearest Book Off and stand there and read, or if they want the newest volume they go to Junkudo or whatever. Although, yes, people can also ask where to buy Japanese manga in their home countries, through the Internet, etc. in that thread. No rules prevent such requests. |
