He was all "Keikaku Doori", that demon really did what was foreshadowed in the last 2-3eps .

Also, that interruption was awesome.

Awesome. To paraphrase. 'We can go to war!' Hand rises. 'I own the guild building.' Cue 'Oh Crap!'

I also liked that the crafting guilds once they realized what their 5 million was for, were kind of awed rather than outright angry. Kind of a 'He's got balls!' in expressions.

It hinted briefly with him being so happy to run around, but Touya was in a wheelchair in real life? Gotta suck, he's got to be happy to just be able to move around.

Loved Akatsuki introducing herself as Shiroe's ninja. I really want an Akatsuki-focused story.

Agreed, it's like the director thinks everyone wearing glasses is evil or something. Mamare himself too

This episode had epic dueling glasses. Kept hearing "Sha-KING!" at the back of my head every time the glasses were adjusted.

Unlike last episode, I very like this episode negotiation.
It have intense feeling like in novel and yet easy to understand.
Almost perfect and really interesting.

Guild strategizing again...
It's shame it's so hard to unite the smaller guilds.
Guess the interests are far from being mutual..
Shiroe is pretty unusual for a player.
His ideas are interesting and noble, but he's too political.
Usually players are interested into leveling up and doing quests.
Shiroe is definitely a different type of player.
The one who'd rather do politics and deal with power balance.
That's ok, but still I was expecting more action in this anime.

If you're looking for action, this is definitely not the right anime to look for it. It has it, sure, but this anime is more focused on the social impact of people being thrown into another world and how they adapt to it.

He already grinded his way to level 90 by doing quests, killing mobs, and doing some PVP on the side, the traditional RPG stuff. Even going from level 90 to 91 or even 100 is insanely hard that even big guilds can't do it without exploiting things, so what else are you going to do?

Shiroe is merely playing another more interesting game, one that might make him the king of akihabara with all the benefits that comes with it. At present with what he's done he could already become rich without effort by charging a fee for access to the bank/guild building, if he so chooses.

To enforce law in an area is a political issue, that's to form a government with force. And the battle guild is part of the problem. And yes, Shiroe is pretty unusual.

There isn't any guild war written in detail in the novel so far, so you cannot expect that. But there will be some large scale battles later in the series.

Well, that's the thing with forming government out of nothing; it always involves a degree of force, because there's always some group that would prefer anarchy, even if everyone else stands to gain from the increase in security and order that comes from it.

Awesome episode and as expected. It feels less tension than the novel. Well Serara being cute lessen the tension. Future characters are also shown as guards with the guild leader. So there won't be sudden new character trope.

sigh... while the episode is good. I still felt weak for the animation and at some part where they give a full blown explanation. They make the anime with the idea of introducing the world of elder tales and the current situation of the alternate world. So there are lengthy explanation. I'm fine with lengthy explanation but at some scene. You can't help but just laugh at Serara's reaction to Shiroe.

Black Heart Glasses indeed.

Shiroe is so amazing on this episode, and he live up to his name. Too bad that the Silver Arrow didn't witness his magnificent move by using 5 million gold to buy off the guild building.

Now for the guild Hamelin... Although the novice characters are free and most of the high-leveled members are banned or trapped, I wonder if they banned the founder as well?

You know. I think there was something about the presentation of this episode that made it much less interesting then otherwise. The most likely reason is that they decided to segment the table meeting up. Had they placed all the exposition before hand, and the daring comando raid afterwords, then they may have been able to run the conversation without pause. It's all that start and stop that really brought that scene down for me.

Not that it was really all that great anyway. The episode's conflict was badly put together, with no real challenge for any of the characters. When will something happen that doesn't go exactly as planned?

They followed the original format of the LN; the two operations took place at the same time, and the LN also skipped between the two conflicts.

I would put spoilers/possible spoilers (granted that the anime follows the LN like it has been), but they're not allowed on episode discussion threads, I don't think.

Oh I'm sure they copied it over exactly from the LN. But, most of my issues with Log Horizon have been derivative of the original LN.

I think he meant all the info dump in between kinda hurts the information. I also felt that way. They gave too much detailed information to the viewers that it kinda cut the tension of the scenes.

To a player of mmorpg, even without the detailed info. They can grasp the situation when you can't access your guild hall and bank but this episode explained it all in such details that it kinda hurts the scene. It gave too much details that even a viewer who is not familiar with it will understand what's happening.

But this is shown in NHK right? will it be alright for kids to watch this?

Last episode teaches Black Heart Glasses Shiroe the viewers on how to become a conman now he teaches kids how to blackmail adults

You control the money :O
