Due to the DVD only "episode 6", there seems to be some confusion as to episode numbers Is this episode 8 just released by MBT different to the episode 7 released by Lolidan?

Subjective censorship, indeed.

Not exactly like MBT's DVD version, but pretty close. Some scenes are uncensored now like Miu/Mio's Marilyn Monroe moment and Ink's mother showering was added in.

Hint: it was never axed. It was done to hype up the sale of ep6 period.

I think I'm dropping this show after waiting on subs for months.

I never got to see any raws that weren't subbed so only up to 8 at this point.

So, I just downloaded Moetan episode 1 and I really enjoyed it.

I tried lolidan's subs, which were nice, but I'd like to know if the other groups have softsubs instead? Like kedex and mbt, since FSH dropped out after 2 episodes

Edit: I guess kedex don't, since they do .avi releases.

Sorry, but episode 9 was nothing less than amazing. When you combine parody with nothing (meaning you don't need to understand any obscure references from other anime/games/etc...), you get what we called comedy everyone can enjoy.

WOW. Episode 10 somehow achieved an almost perfect balance of absurdity, parodies, fanservice, and action. (Especially surprised at the action.) It's like every shounen finale and then some was thrown into a blender.

I agree, Moetan is one of the few Japanese series in recent memory (the others being Gintama and Keroro Gunsou) that I have actually found funny. A lot of series get the references right in the ever popular reference comedy (Lucky Star, Pani Poni Dash, Hayate The Combat Butler), but fail to pull off the gag....that is if they are even really trying. To put it in simpler terms, they have the setup down, but botch or forget the punchline. Moetan usually succeeds in both.
