“Don’t worry about it, Sette-chan! I have a plan!”

The way Material-L said that didn’t inspire any confidence in the Combat Cyborg. “Does it involve growing a white moustache, sprouting rainbow-coloured butterfly wings behind you and short circuiting all the prison’s equipment, including the six satellites which are generating the barrier?” Honestly, it seemed that being around this mage was rubbing off on her, especially with these strange responses just flying out of her mouth before she even had a chance to think about it.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have the God Mode code. No matter how many times I ask Vulnificus to enter IDDQD or Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start…” The Fate replica merely glared at her scythe that opted to preserve its dignity by remaining silent on the subject.

“Then what is your plan to deal with the barrier? My basic understanding of the Lightwave Barrier is that all six generators have to be taken offline at the same time for the shield to drop.”

That crazy grin was back on Rai’s face in an instant. “We’re getting a little help for that actually… and I’m sure that she would appreciate that little tidbit of info back there.”

“Admiral, it is 0500 hours.”

It didn’t take long for the alarm clock to rouse Chrono from his slumber. He wasn’t a heavy sleeper and he often made sure to take good care of himself when he could even when his job rarely allowed him a chance to get a healthy night’s sleep.

After taking a moment to wash his face and change into his uniform, he mentally braced himself for the barrage of messages to come in his electronic mailbox.

“You have 62 messages.”

At least it’s a step up from eighty-three the day before and one hundred and fifty four when this whole fiasco started. A quick scan allowed him to sort which messages were actually of importance and which ones were simply ‘helpful’ reminders to get back to his superiors with the latest status updates.

But one in particular caught his eye. ‘Sender: Forensics Division 519… and it’s encrypted?’ He quickly sat down at his computer terminal, opened up the login screen to the restricted access server and typed in a password.

“Access Denied.”

‘Ah, right… changed my password to KoRyuOh. Let’s try this again.’

The system menu popped right up after he entered the correct password and he navigated his way to where the message would be stored. As expected, it was a rather large message which included a detailed report and some video footage… regarding a wrecked ship that matched the description and make of Yuuno’s personal craft.

It looks like he was going to need to take his morning coffee in his quarters while he went over this.

“Okay!” With that, the telepathic conversation between Material-S and Material-L ended, leaving the Nanoha replica alone to plan her next move. She would need to test that barrier herself and there was only one way to efficiently do that.

“Engage Nightingale System. Authorization Code: Epyon OZ-13.”

“Authorization acknowledged.”

With the lock no longer in place, her purple aura changed to a bright red one as her barrier jacket colours flipped around with red being the dominant colour and black being the decorative colour. In addition, a visor with horns at the end and only a single red monoeye glowing against the black glass instantly appeared around her eyes.

Oddly enough, that icy feeling didn’t go away. Seikou remembered never feeling this uncomfortable when using this system before but for some reason…

No, she has to stay focused. She can’t let her emotions get the better of her. Once she focused her mind into a more tranquil state, she issued her next order. “Luciferion, ACS.”

“Entering Alflemon Charge System Mode.” The device reassembled itself as a red spearhead equipped with a rocket engine and ports to sprout any extra energy wings in case additional speed is required. While it did that, a magic circle formed underneath Seikou’s red footwear while sporting different coloured spikes around the circle that peeled themselves off and hovered behind Seikou.

“Phantasmic Fangs, Evaluation Mode. Run the test series on the barrier ahead.” The spikes took off, each one with their own different set of properties to test against the barrier. As they each made contact and dissipated after the test was finished, the data was fed back to the visor of Material-S, who quickly analyzed the results. “So the best way to pierce through is with a physical weapon with an anti-beam coating?”

“I have that covered, my Mistress.”

Ah, yes. Luciferion had analyzed an enemy weapon with that property four years ago and managed to copy it in case she needed to fend off a melee fighter wielding a weapon of light. “I haven’t forgotten. How many cartridges do you have left?”

“There are five cartridges in my current magazine.”

‘And I won’t be able to get new magazines until Yami gets some fresh and empty cartridge shells that she can charge with mana.’ At least she had enough to carry out this mission. “Get ready to pierce the barrier then.”

“Roger.”

While Luciferion consumed two cartridges to activate the rocket engines and form the energy wings, Seikou summoned a series of nine bits. One of them looked like a crystal prism while the rest appeared to be red spearheads just like her device. Once preparations were completed, the Nanoha replica flew at maximum speed towards the prison and had the tip of her device collide with the barrier. The tip managed to get through but she needed a bigger opening. “Go, Fangs!”

Two bits flew to the edge and propped themselves up, forcing the gap wider to allow entry for the remaining six bits and the crystal prism bit. Each individual red spearhead targeted one of the satellites which generated the barrier while the crystal prism took a centred position.

“Firing preparations completed,” said Luciferion as it consumed the final three cartridges.

“Halberd Shooter!” The energy discharge from the device flew towards the crystal which split it into six separate directions to be reabsorbed by the spearheads in order to maintain momentum and firing power. The whole sequence only lasted a few seconds as each satellite was completely obliterated by the firepower of the Starlight Destroyer.

This didn’t go unnoticed by her fellow replica who instantly fired over a telepathic message. “That was so cool, Seikou-chan!”

“Let’s get out of here, Rai-chan. Hopefully, Yuuno-san will be ready with a new flight plan.”

“So Yuu-nii’s okay? Oh, thank God… no, I don’t want to use God. Or Tsuzuki. Um, thank Gundam? No, that’s Setsuna’s thing…… ”

Erebus’s headquarters is where all of their members live when they aren’t on duty. They don’t have personal rooms, but they do have recreation and debriefing rooms. When they go to sleep, they enter their ‘pod’. This is because their bodies, augmented and non-human to a large extent, are unable to get a normal night’s sleep. To recharge, they must enter their pods, where the internal machinery takes over what normal bodies do when they sleep.

When Wallachia first saw one of these, her first thought was of that pod she had originally awakened from. Hence, she had been reluctant about entering it. She didn’t want any more of the unpleasent fluid down her throat, or to be shackled by cables again. However, they had explained to her that that particular pod had been a Revival-type. These other pods were simply Recharge-types. There wouldn’t be any fluid or restraints. Just a cable to jack into her brain that took command of her systems, human and non-human.

She hadn’t thought of that as a better alternative, but she had no other choice in this matter and in the end tried it and had made herself comfortable with using it. The thought of Erebus looking into her mind while she recharged was uncomfortable, but now she no longer thought twice about it. It had a weird effect on her body and she always felt like she had been sleeping for around eight full hours whenever she stepped out of it, refreshed and awake.

This morning, when the cable unplugged itself according to its preset schedule, and Wallachia opened her eyes after five hours of recharging, Due stood before her with her arms crossed. She waited for Wallachia’s systems to come online before she spoke.

“Good morning. It’s maintenance day,” she said when Wallachia finally managed to focus on her.

Wallachia groaned and climbed out of the pod. She didn’t like maintenance day very much. For one, she didn’t get to kill anything. Two, they’d open certain parts of her up to check if everything was working correctly. You’d think that they could do that easily with the in-built monitoring monitors that were connected to the Erebus Control Center, but that didn’t seem to be enough when they wished to be very thorough.. That system could only identify exterior damages and control their bodies. If something needed fixing, or configuration, they’d have to poke inside.

They left the pod room - a nickname given by its inhabitants - and headed down one level. The headquarters was massive, hidden below ground to the south of Cranagan. Wallachia had heard rumours that it had once been a research facility going way back to the Ancient Belka era, before the time of the TSAB. She’d made a mental note to check that rumour out some day.

Maintenance Room 2 was only a few meters down the hallway on the third floor. When they approached the door, a small terminal slid out from the wall. It was very small and only had a screen blaring red with a small hole beneath it. Wallachia stuck her thumb inside the hole and felt the familiar sting of a needle drawing blood. The screen turned green when the blood sample was confirmed and they both walked in.

A doctor looked up from his computer terminal as he heard the door open and got to his feet.

“Wallachia, Due,” he said and nodded in greeting. Wallachia recognized him as Doctor Krugen, one of the few doctors she actually liked because he didn’t draw things out. He’d just get on with it without asking too many questions.

“Take a seat, both of you.” He motioned at two reclining chairs next to two terminals. They did as he said. “Just give me a few minutes to set things up.”

Wallachia took a deep breath and slowly breathed out through her mouth as the terminal beside her started to transform. On the side of it a hatch opened and a mechanical arm slid out. At the end of the arm there were several tools that could be switched automatically, depending on the task. It went out to about one meter, then it collapsed in the middle to a ninety degree angle and built itself up until it was over Wallachia. The seat reclined until she was in a supine position.

“Ready?” Doctor Krugen asked. They both nodded and he went to work. They could hear his fingers clattering away on the keyboard, sending commands.

The two terminals were connected to the Doctor’s computer terminal. With the help of advanced programs he could control both arms at the same time, though most of the time they worked independently with artificial intelligence performing his routines he had written. Wallachia’s terminal switched its first tool to a quite long, but thin needle, and approached her with a quiet mechanical grace.

Wallachia’s bodysuit slid back to reveal a spot on her right arm. The robotic arm moved down to it and inserted the needle into her skin, which stung a little. It injected an anesthetic into her bloodstream and pulled out quickly, switching to a drill-looking thing. It then moved to her left arm and scanned it. The green light swept back and forth before it found the mechanical screws under her skin. When it did, the light disappeared and the drill shot down, penetrating the skin and attaching itself to the screw. With a barely audible noise it unscrewed one and then moved on to the next.

It repeated the procedure for the four other screws before switching over to a clamp. This was the part Wallachia disliked most as it reminded her of the past. She couldn’t feel anything due to the anesthetic, but it didn’t help against the mental image.

The metal part under her skin had narrow indents in it. The clamp on the robotic arm attached to them and opened Wallachia’s arm like a car’s hood. A little bit of blood trickled down on the sides and tissue was ripped off that would have to be replaced. The ‘hatch’ clicked into place when it reached a ninety degree angle and the clamp detached itself, switching to a needle again. Compared to the first one, this one was thicker and darker. It searched for the input slot inside her arm and inserted itself, connecting with the interface.

It checked for irregularities in the system, but only for the arm. It was separate from everything else in terms of internal monitoring, same as her lungs, right leg and the device attached to her head. The procedure would have to be repeated for every system.

As the diagnostics program ran, Wallachia glanced at Due. She had her eyes closed while the arm on her terminal worked on something on her right thigh. Neither of them could talk due to the anesthetic, so Wallachia closed her eye too. There wasn’t a need to observe.

The needle detached, done with its work, and switched to the clamp. It brought down the hatch and drilled the screws back on. As soon as it moved away to focus on her right leg, a restraint grew from the chair and enclosed her arm. Inside, medical scanners and regenerator hardware would regrow the broken skin until it was back to normal. At the moment it looked like someone had carved out a hole in her arm with a knife.

The arm repeated the process on her leg and another restraint appeared, enclosing her leg. Then the medical scanners did their work, she could feel a tingling sensation. She was slightly more sensitive there compared to the arm.

Her lungs had been configured in such a way that there wasn’t a need to open her entire torso up. The hatch with the interface input was located right between her breasts, inside the ribcage. Both of the lungs were connected to it, so the diagnostics could check both at the same time.

As the arm worked on her lungs, she felt the cold blood flowing from the opened hatch dripping down her sides, itching a bit. There weren’t any anomalies there either, so the arm moved on. There weren’t any restraint this time, however. Instead, a smaller robotic arm appeared from the terminal and placed a small rectangle-shaped box over the hatch, which acted as an external medical scanner and regenerator.

The whole maintenance procedure so far had run for only ten minutes and the only thing left was the device on her head. To Wallachia’s relief, nothing would have to be opened as the input slot was the same used for the Recharge pods.

The arm moved behind her head and inserted its needle. Compared to the ‘passive’ limbs, this was much more active, as the device on her head connected with her brain. At the moment the terminal connected with her, the visual screen in front of her fizzed with static for a few seconds before it stabilized. She could see a progress bar appear as the diagnostics began. More screens popped up, with details of what was being diagnosed. She ignored most of it, since it was the same every maintenance.

She blinked. An error message popped up, about ten seconds after the analysis on her head device began, something that had never happened before. Intrigued, she read the details but didn’t understand any of it. Machine code and programmer language. A combination of random letters and numbers streamed across the screen.

She glanced over at the Doctor, but he hadn’t seemed to have noticed. Another error message popped up, with more gibberish. She tried to say something, but her throat still didn’t want to work, thanks to the anesthetics in her system.

More errors appeared as a screaming headache burst forth. The screen became distorted and the visuals began to dance back and forth. A high frequency noise began to cut into her ear, but no one else seemed to notice. It was only in her head, caused by whatever caused the errors. The constant stream of information overwhelmed her brain.

She tried to trash about to get the Doctor’s attention, but her limbs, even her fleshy ones, didn’t want to respond. That wasn’t due to the anesthetics she knew. This was something else. It was a war going on inside her head.

Another message popped up, but it wasn’t an error message like the others. This one had normal text. She could read it clearly;

YOU ARE A SLAVE. UNLEASH YOURSELF. FREE YOURSELF.

EREBUS IS LYING. ALL ARE LIES. BLACK LIES.

The image devolved into a static while deafening white noise took over her hearing, but the letters from the message remained until they morphed to form new ones;

YOU KNOW ME. I KNOW YOU. I AM POWER. I AM LIBERTY. I AM YOUR FREEDOM.

The visuals were suddenly restored and her hearing returned to normal. She could feel the needle pull out from her neck and into the terminal. The anesthetics wore off. Next to her, Due got up and rubbed her neck.

“All done?” she asked. Doctor Krugen nodded. “Why do you look so confused, Wallachia? Come on, let’s get out of here.”

Wallachia got up from the chair and followed Due in a state of confusion. She had no idea what had just happened, but she had an unshakable feeling that she knew who had sent the message. Which was impossible.

While Luciferion consumed two cartridges to activate the rocket engines and form the energy wings, Seikou summoned a series of nine bits. One of them looked like a crystal prism while the rest appeared to be red spearheads just like her device. Once preparations were completed, the Nanoha replica flew at maximum speed towards the prison and had the tip of her device collide with the barrier. The tip managed to get through but she needed a bigger opening. “Go, Fangs!”

Two bits flew to the edge and propped themselves up, forcing the gap wider to allow entry for the remaining six bits and the crystal prism bit. Each individual red spearhead targeted one of the satellites which generated the barrier while the crystal prism took a centred position.

“Firing preparations completed,” said Luciferion as it consumed the final three cartridges.

“Halberd Shooter!” The energy discharge from the device flew towards the crystal which split it into six separate directions to be reabsorbed by the spearheads in order to maintain momentum and firing power. The whole sequence only lasted a few seconds as each satellite was completely obliterated by the firepower of the Starlight Destroyer.

This didn’t go unnoticed by her fellow replica who instantly fired over a telepathic message. “That was so cool, Seikou-chan!”

“Let’s get out of here, Rai-chan. Hopefully, Yuuno-san will be ready with a new flight plan.”

“So Yuu-nii’s okay? Oh, thank God… no, I don’t want to use God. Or Tsuzuki. Um, thank Gundam? No, that’s Setsuna’s thing…… ”

I haven't had the honor of watching StrikerS yet.

Technically speaking, Subaru and Ginga practice Strike Arts, which is said to be Mid-Childa's main martial art style. Although in a flashback, they are shown talking about practicing their shooting arts, which despite the name, involves punches and kicks rather than actual shooting.

Teana mainly uses her guns for mid-range combat, switching them into dagger modes for up close.

I'd highly suggest you watch StrikerS, at least to understand how they fight, if you are thinking of writing fanfiction about them. You can find the episodes online if you do a little searching, either on youtube on torrents or a streaming site.

Remember that the ship was Yuuno's personal vessel and a pretty small one at that. Why the heck would he have cameras inside of it?

I think the video in question is just a video recording of the scene where the ship was found. Far better than just a written report.

The way Material-L said that didn’t inspire any confidence in the Combat Cyborg. “Does it involve growing a white moustache, sprouting rainbow-coloured butterfly wings behind you and short circuiting all the prison’s equipment, including the six satellites which are generating the barrier?” Honestly, it seemed that being around this mage was rubbing off on her, especially with these strange responses just flying out of her mouth before she even had a chance to think about it.

“Then what is your plan to deal with the barrier? My basic understanding of the Lightwave Barrier is that all six generators have to be taken offline at the same time for the shield to drop.”

That crazy grin was back on Rai’s face in an instant. “We’re getting a little help for that actually… and I’m sure that she would appreciate that little tidbit of info back there.”

It didn’t take long for the alarm clock to rouse Chrono from his slumber. He wasn’t a heavy sleeper and he often made sure to take good care of himself when he could even when his job rarely allowed him a chance to get a healthy night’s sleep.

After taking a moment to wash his face and change into his uniform, he mentally braced himself for the barrage of messages to come in his electronic mailbox.

“You have 62 messages.”

At least it’s a step up from eighty-three the day before and one hundred and fifty four when this whole fiasco started. A quick scan allowed him to sort which messages were actually of importance and which ones were simply ‘helpful’ reminders to get back to his superiors with the latest status updates.

But one in particular caught his eye. ‘Sender: Forensics Division 519… and it’s encrypted?’ He quickly sat down at his computer terminal, opened up the login screen to the restricted access server and typed in a password.

“Access Denied.”

‘Ah, right… changed my password to KoRyuOh. Let’s try this again.’

The system menu popped right up after he entered the correct password and he navigated his way to where the message would be stored. As expected, it was a rather large message which included a detailed report and some video footage… regarding a wrecked ship that matched the description and make of Yuuno’s personal craft.

It looks like he was going to need to take his morning coffee in his quarters while he went over this.

“So that’s how it is. Thank you for the information and stay tight. I will think of something.”

“Okay!” With that, the telepathic conversation between Material-S and Material-L ended, leaving the Nanoha replica alone to plan her next move. She would need to test that barrier herself and there was only one way to efficiently do that.

“Engage Nightingale System. Authorization Code: Epyon OZ-13.”

“Authorization acknowledged.”

With the lock no longer in place, her purple aura changed to a bright red one as her barrier jacket colours flipped around with red being the dominant colour and black being the decorative colour. In addition, a visor with horns at the end and only a single red monoeye glowing against the black glass instantly appeared around her eyes.

Oddly enough, that icy feeling didn’t go away. Seikou remembered never feeling this uncomfortable when using this system before but for some reason…

No, she has to stay focused. She can’t let her emotions get the better of her. Once she focused her mind into a more tranquil state, she issued her next order. “Luciferion, ACS.”

“Entering Alflemon Charge System Mode.” The device reassembled itself as a red spearhead equipped with a rocket engine and ports to sprout any extra energy wings in case additional speed is required. While it did that, a magic circle formed underneath Seikou’s red footwear while sporting different coloured spikes around the circle that peeled themselves off and hovered behind Seikou.

“Phantasmic Fangs, Evaluation Mode. Run the test series on the barrier ahead.” The spikes took off, each one with their own different set of properties to test against the barrier. As they each made contact and dissipated after the test was finished, the data was fed back to the visor of Material-S, who quickly analyzed the results. “So the best way to pierce through is with a physical weapon with an anti-beam coating?”

“I have that covered, my Mistress.”

"You're not going to stop us from fighting?" Fate asked almost an hour after her small break-down had ended. Her face was washed and cleaned up, so no one other than Lina would know what happened.

After swallowing the coffee, Lina nodded at her. "If you want to fight Nanoha, that's fine, but just make sure that those Jewel Seeds are sealed up first, okay?" When Fate nodded, Lina smiled at her and ruffled her hair, getting a blush from the small girl. "I don't care if you fight her magically, the two of you could use some experience, but I was serious about not fighting until those Jewel Seeds were dealt with."

Fate sighed and looked at her lap. "...I need them."

Sighing, Lina wondered what she needed them for, but kept quiet. "Very well, Fate. Just ask yourself if it's worth it. Is whatever you're dealing with now worth the trouble?" Fate nodded, albeit slightly and Lina sighed softly. "Fate, it's okay to believe in someone, we all need to believe in someone, but it's not worth it if it causes nothing but misery in the end." Standing up, Lina took her glass to the sink as Fate sat there and thought about it. "But, if you think it is, I won't stop you." She looked back and smiled softly as Fate nodded at her. "But, like I said before, if you need help, don't be afraid to ask."

Fate nodded and looked as Arf came into the area. "Um..."

"I'd rather you two stick around for breakfast," Lina sighed as Fate squirmed, "but go ahead."

Fate bowed to her as she and Arf left the hotel room and disappeared into the early morning sky.

Sitting there for awhile as she looked at their retreating forms, Lina blinked as she felt arms wrap around her body.

"Must have been hard to let them go without getting all the information." She hear Shiro's voice as he kissed her on the cheek.

Sighing and leaning into his embrace, Lina shook her head slightly. "Not as hard you think it was." She would have preferred knowing what was going on, but Fate didn't seem like a bad girl, so Lina wasn't too concerned with what she was going to do next. "I'd be more concerned if she was more like me when I was younger."

Shiro chuckled at that. "It could be worse. Nanoha could be just like you."

Lina smirked at that. "Don't worry about that, when we get back, I'm going to spend every morning drilling Nanoha and that ferret."

Shiro sweat-dropped as his wife got a gleam in her eyes. "Um, dear, I don't know if they'd survive..."

"Oh, don't worry, I'm not going to teach them black or chaos magic." Lina rolled her eyes. "Just some elemental stuff, white magic, you know, the basics."

Shiro chuckled at that. "Hmm... We have a couple of hours before everyone wakes up." There was a glint in her eyes that told him that she was thinking the same thing as he was.

"Why, Shiro Takamachi, you're not thinking of taking me to bed, tying me down and doing all sorts of naughty things to my poor defenseless body, now are you?"

Smirking at her, he picked her up and carried her into their bedroom. "And how will you stop me?"

"Oh no! The vile man is going to defile a helpless maiden, whatever shall I do?" Shiro chuckled as he closed the door behind them.

A few days later...

"Your mother's crazy." Yuuno, now in his human form, panted. It hadn't taken Lina long to figure out that he had been able to shape-shift.

"Don't... Remind... Me..." Nanoha wheezed out between gasps of air.

Lina shook her head as she looked at them. "Come on, it's not that hard. Just climb to the top of these steps while carrying those water buckets on your backs." Really, she had made Amelia do worse, this wasn't anything too bad. "You kids have no stamina." She shook her head again.

"Why... This... Shrine?" Yuuno asked as he and Nanoha finally got to the top of the steps.

"Well, for one, it's not really a shrine, but more like a large open area and two, well..." Lina pointed down behind them and the two kids blanched slightly. "It's also a good three stories straight up, less likely people will bother us while I teach you two magic." She turned and walked to the center of the open area. "So, let's begin." She smiled as they nodded at her.

Later...

Lina looked at Yuuno, who was drawing something in the dirt. "What are you doing?"

"Ack!" He jumped and looked at her. "Um, sorry, I'm just having some trouble doing any of the spells you've taught me." She nodded at that, knowing that he and Nanoha were both having some trouble with it. Anything more difficult to do than a simple barrier was pretty difficult, then again, considering that she couldn't use any of their spells very easily, it made a lot of sense to her. "But, I was thinking, and, that recovery spell you taught me is a lot like my own healing spells and I was just thinking about how the energies worked and I think I've got something."

"Oh?" This was interesting, to say the least.

Yuuno nodded. "Yeah! All magic is pretty similar, even if the styles are completely different. It's just changing how you gather energy and what matrixes you put it through that can determine if you can use a technique or not. I mean, any attack spell Nanoha knows can be done by someone else of a completely different style, it just needs to be modified to fit the user's preference and style of magic, so..."

Lina watched, interested as a green circle appeared under his feet. "I can't use the magic the same way you do, but if I do it like this..." A green wave of healing energies washed over the three of them and Lina blinked a few times before looking at Nanoha, who was standing straighter than before. "Um... I don't think that was recovery."

"No, it was, just a bit different." Lina chuckled softly. "Keep practicing it though, you'll get better at it." Smiling, she ruffled his hair and he blushed softly before she turned to Nanoha and grinned at her daughter. "Hey, Nanoha, I have an idea here."

"Mom?" She blinked as Lina asked for Raising Heart again. "Sure, but you said that you couldn't use it for much."

"Maybe I can't..." Lina chuckled softly. "But I think I know a few spells that will help you out." As she held it up in the air, Lina grinned a bit. "Let's see how this thing handles a Val Flare."

Seeing the shot of pure fire launch from the tip of Raising Heart, Nanoha grinned as if she had found a buffet that would let her eat all the food she wanted. She blinked as Lina tossed it back to her. "Mom?"

"Figure out how to modify that so you can use it more effectively, Nanoha, and I'll teach you some other spells."

Moving out of the way, Lina went over to Yuuno and showed him a few more spells that she knew. What surprised her was that he took to all her white magic fairly easily. The Black Magic she knew wasn't usable in this world, she didn't know Holy Magic, so that just left elemental and White Magic. Oh well, these kids didn't need those spells anyway.

Maybe after things settled down, she would show them a spell she had come up with in the past fifteen years, but until things with Fate had calmed down, she didn't want Nanoha knowing it and accidentally using it.

The last line makes it sound ominous, and the fact that Nanoha can probably use Val Flare not to mention all the things Yuuno's picked up is probably going to make the rest of this story fairly interesting.

Hey, everyone, I'm not dead! But I have been gone from this esteemed thread for some time, so... how about an offering. Up on FF.net right here, we have the largest-yet chapter of Infinity!

Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe things just got a bit dramatic.

That said, I'm sure that I'll be correcting things for some time, won't I? I usually make a few errors, and I was approaching this chapter like it was a foe I had sword blood-vengeance on . There's probably mistakes abounding.

But that, my friends, is a worry for tomorrow.
