It seems that Kojima won't be going to E3.
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...deo_kojima_e3/ Will that mean that there won't be MGS:Rising there? I remember that although this game won't be directed by him, he came to E3 to show the first teaser of MGS Rising. But I forgot in last year's E3 where they released the first trailer... was Kojima at E3 or not? and you guys might want to see this too: http://gematsu.com/2011/05/raiden-va...r-solid-rising I wonder what's happening...

so the rumors are true... gotta say that the gameplay looks epic, as expected of Platinum games. But what's with those people with blades? and the overall video doesn't feel like MG series at all and quite cheesy (the music, environment, and the dialogues) Raiden said "too easy" like Dante or something, that doesn't like him at all. Hopefully Kojima Production will not act merely as producer and will still be involved in the story and others somehow.

I wasn't expecting this at all. Total surprise. But I can't say I'm not stoked.~
Only title I've played from Platinum Games is Bayonetta so I already know partly what to expect. I loved their games back from when the were Clover Studios though so I guess it's good to know MGR's game-play in good hands. If Kojima Productions is doing the story then that will be even better.~ And fuck, that battle against Metal Gear Ray looked goddamn awesome even if it was cheesy. Sadly it's probably a quick-time event though as such epic scenes in game-play usually tend to be.

I dont get some of these haters, its called lightning bolt action and they expect stealth, also the fact that they have like 6 other games to do that in
but anyway, looks AMAZING, cant wait for it, only problem i see is the dialogue and the music, doesent seem very fitting for a Metal Gear title

Official Site of MGR: http://www.konami.jp/mgr/en_us/index.html
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance details, screenshots Story set after Metal Gear Solid 4. Metal Gear Solid: Rising saw a complete reboot at the Video Game Awards tonight. Now known as Metal Gear Rising: Vengeance and developed by Platinum Games, the name and developer aren’t the only changes to Kojima’s latest production. The official Rising website went live tonight, providing a host of new details. Whereas once Rising was a game “intended to feature the actions and transformation of Raiden, one of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty’s main characters, in the lead-up to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots,” it is now a game “changed to take place several years after Metal Gear Solid 4.” This was done, according to the website, to give Platinum “more of an opportunity to show off what they can bring to the series.” While the original aim for the game was a combo of stealth and action, it’s now been “enhanced” for a “more aggressive new focus on pure, exhilarating action.” Kojima Productions is overseeing development at Platinum, making sure the game maintains the visual direction of the series. Though, its “exact identity” is a “step apart from the Metal Gear Solid games.” It looks to only be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as a PC logo is absent from the bottom of the site. A “Truth Behind RISING” interview will be published on December 13 that reveals how the collaboration between Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, two Japanese powerhouses, came to exist. NEW WORLD BABY~!

I'm gonna miss the ol' Espionage action. Going from that all the way to Hack n' Slash is a pretty huge leap.... I was kinda hoping to fight Vamp as a final boss fight with a knife~
Now it's got me questioning... as the reason we didn't hear anything about Rising for so long was because the developers didn't know what to do, before they totally decided to overhaul everything?
