I know some ppl that already read the novel (including me) will complain on today's episode for cutting few parts of the novel and make the story seems moving fast.
But to me today's episode was okay though...and i'm pretty much like the underwater scene where Spoiler for lol:

Taiga's neck and shoulders ..... nice moment, gotta love necks; and they gave her a bit of a figure (hips waist) which is closer to the petite types I know. Thanks to the design crew for that.
And Ryuuji scores about 100,000 karma points for his "sleight of hand" to preserve Taiga's dignity.

I recently reread volume 3.. the translated parts. I guess its fair to say that the attitudes of the characters and the events follow the book pretty closely. Might still be way too early before any of the girls see Ryuji as a romantic option. I must admit that I had originally thought that anime is changing the scenes from the novels...but thats because:
Spoiler for Thoughts:
And no Roan, no idea how volume 3 ends. but lets hope the anime follows it to a tee. If they just follow the volumes, I be estatic. Last edited by msuwildog80; 2008-11-12 at 20:44. |

With the sweater part of the show, I immediately saw Minami Chiaki in Taiga there, minus the ahoge. Whether that was intentional or an accident, I can't say, but it was kinda cute to see Taiga collapsing after she felt up Yasuko (who didn't seem to mind the attention), only to be rescued at the last minute by Ryuuji helping her out with disguising her 'impediment'.

but what you're noticing is one of the fundamental differences because of the source material. One is created from an eroge game (though Key products tend to be leaps and bounds better than the average eroge game in terms of story production). The other is created from an actual story - a light novel series. Material created from manga and light novels are able to create ensemble casts that mesh and do not have to worry about "stitching routes" together. Toradora! comes from a light novel series and a manga series. That isn't to say great anime adaptations can't come from eroge, I have a few in my archive ... but it requires an anime production staff with the writing skills to pull off the "stitching": something more the exception than the usual.

I prefer collarbones.
I WANT MOAR TAIGA IN LESS CLOTHING. P.S On an offside note, which company distributed this anime? Any relation to Sunrise, TV Tokyo or Geneon? There is a crackdown over here lately. Hope it blows over tsun. |
